Operation ASHA's mission is to help develop a disease-free society characterised by freedom from suffering and want. True to their ethos, not only do they provide healthcare services to disadvantaged patients at their homes, but also employ poor persons from the locations they serve. Many of their employees are illiterate/semi-literate but bring considerable understanding of local socio-cultural milieu and healthcare challenges to the table. By training such individuals, especially poor unlettered women, Operation ASHA ensures that they're able to stand proudly and independently in the society and contribute to the economy as best as they could.
