I've been a volunteer at IYC for many years. I've seen this organization grow and improve. I know how amazing the people here are and how rewarding it is to volunteer with them. IYC volunteers are given numerous opportunities. They can choose to participate in many different types of projects. Everything we do here to help our community attributed to our hardworking volunteers and our selfless parent board. In addition to all IYC does for its community, IYC provides students at any age with a chance to develop and/or showcase their leadership skills by giving them opportunities to organize their own events/projects. Volunteers at IYC are able to collaborate with their peers and learn valuable lessons about communication and teamwork. While IYC's parents and more experienced members always make sure to give help to younger members when needed, IYC still teaches their volunteers independence and encourages them to plan and execute their own projects. At the end of the day, this organization is built to help not only the community, but it's own volunteers. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in volunteering to join IYC!
