I am so grateful for the Police Reserve foundation. I am a reserve after having been a full time sworn officer for 30 years. I actually started my law enforcement career in 1980 has a reserve for Culver City and then joined LAPD, full time. The Police Reserve Foundation has always ensured that reserves were afforded opportunities, including training, equipment and uniforms, career and volunteer opportunities and more. They have ensured the professionalism of the corps and has helped create an environment where the reserve corps thrives and is eager to work and support the organization. The Foundation really pays attention to the needs of the reserves, who volunteer their time and in some extremely precarious and dangerous situations. They are always ahead of the game, i.e. providing reimbursement for BDU uniforms as soon as they were approved and even reimbursing insurance and myriad other items the reserve corps needs. Thank you for everything including the communication, support, coordination, and supplies. Proud to still be part of the LAPD Reserve Corps. Jeri Weinstein
