My story with Treasure Coast Hospice started when my Mom felt she needed to do some good with her free time and started volunteering at the Hospice. Little did we know years later TCH would be caring for my Dad. He became ill in February, 2013, and was under home hospice care while living at my sister's home. My Dad was set in his ways and at times could be difficult to please; we weren't sure how he would adapt to needing to be cared for. My family is so thankful not only for the care that Nurse Nikki gave my Dad but for the special bond and friendship they formed. She truly made his last weeks on earth happy for him and we will be forever grateful. When it was time for him to move to the Hospice House the personnel there could not have been more wonderful to us. Dad was made comfortable and we knew he was at peace. It's now my time to give back. I have been volunteering at the Hospice now for two years and I have yet to find an organization as caring as this one.
