I have worked in Hospice here in Stuart and in Denver Colorado for ten years. My job is simply to be with patients and families in their final hours. It is humbling and at the same time an honor. As a volunteer you see the front lines. As such you watch a myriad of staff at work. From the doctors to nurses to CNA's to even the cooks. They are a special breed and incredibly loving.

Treasure Coast Hospice has so many facets from caregiving to bereavement to plain old emotional support. You become one of our family and we want to be with you every step of the way. It is not a job but calling. When I see the love and attention paid to each of our patients it gives me goosebumps and I am so lucky to be even small part of this wonderful place.

Whether it is in home hospice or at our inpatient facilities in Stuart or Ft Pierce our staff at Treasure Coast Hospice is there to answer any questions no matter how big, no matter how small. The most tragic thing is people wait so long to contact us. It is a process that can evolve slowly or quickly. Call us just to put your mind at ease. I always say it is not the end but a beginning of a wonderful relationship. I could not feel or believe in this any stronger. Thanks for listening.
