Living in America it was hard to grasp the reality of persecution. The more I followed Christ the more I realized my family all over the world was suffering and I had a responsibility to respond. Open Doors provided a face to the stories, they connected the dots on what persecution is and looks like, how real it is. I did not become a donor right away but the scripture "to whom much is given much is required" opened my eyes. Through the Holy Spirit I realized that in American we have been given much abundance and blessed in many ways. Those blessings comes with responsibility and that is to use our resources to be a blessing to others, my desire was first to the persecuted Church, my family. By God's provision I have become a monthly donor, a continued prayer partner and a advocate, to God be the Glory for it all!
