Review for The Fire Watch Project Inc, Jacksonville, FL, USA
I first became aware of Fire Watch at a community event for Veterans. Immediately, I fell in love with their mission and inquired about getting more information. After doing some research, I decided to take the online training. I completed the training on a Saturday and had to put into practice what I learned the very next day after receiving a series of text messages from a friend who is a Veteran. I can honestly say that due to the training and resources I received from The Fire Watch that there is one less Veteran suicide to report. I was so impressed with the training that I brought the CEO of our company the idea to train our staff. Since then, we are a proud Veteran Safe Place and have also offered the training to our fleet of volunteers who work with our Veterans.
Review for Treasure Coast Hospice, Stuart, FL, USA
My family has used the community grief support services at Treasure Coast Hospice in previous years for my pre-teen daughter after the death of several significant people in her life. She received individual counseling and also attended the organization's Camp Good Grief for children. After the recent tragic loss she experienced followed by the sudden death of a family member a few weeks ago, I noticed her (now 14) using the coping skills and tools she learned in counseling and at camp. She also immediately reached out to me asking me to schedule an appointment with her grief counselor, which I did. Treasure Coast Hospice was very responsive and met with my daughter within days. They are truly a gifted group of people who truly give compassionate care to anyone in our community who is experiencing grief. Their grief counselors are second to none. We are very very grateful.
