After my husband and I retired, we moved from the east coast to Missoula. We didn’t know anyone in the area, and making friends proved more difficult than I had realized. One day I saw a notice in the Missoulian asking for volunteers at Missoula Aging Services (MAS) to help on various projects. Several looked promising, so I signed up. One such opportunity was to help with the Wear It Again Jewelry Sale fundraiser. I love jewelry and the weekly sessions with a small group of delightful volunteers sorting, pricing and tagging donated jewelry provided a much-appreciated social outlet for me. This is now my seventh year with the sale, and I can’t imagine a more rewarding activity. Thank you MAS for all you do for the community!
