The Josey Scout Lodge and its surrounding property and buildings is living history in Huntsville, Texas. The Robert A Josey Lodge, Inc. is responsible for maintaining this building, built in 1934 in response to a fireside chat by President Franklin Roosevelt. The board (I'm on it) is dedicated to making sure that the youth in Huntsville and Walker County have a special place to learn about citizenship, leadership, and service. This is a very special place and the board works hard to maintain and improve it.

I am a board member and a volunteer for the DRC-MC. I've worked with a number of nonprofits in my career, and DRC-MC is one of the best. Leadership cares about the organization's mission, making sure that the citizens of Montgomery County have access to the peaceful resolution of disputes, even during pandemic times. The DRC-MC offers high-quality training to its volunteers to help ensure continuous skill improvement. DRC-MC is a leader in the dispute resolution field, providing carefully thought-out processes to deliver mediations by remote and online facilities. I am proud to be a board member and volunteer mediator for this wonderful organization.
