After our beloved Boxer passed away suddenly, we submitted an application to AABR and within a week had our vet reference and personal references checked-out and good to go. It has now been 10 weeks and we are still waiting on a home visit to complete the approval process. We have reached out to the rescue many times and have received minimal communication back. The communication we have received back has been very demeaning and unhelpful, and now no one will respond to emails. We inquired about volunteering and fostering and have had no response. In the meantime we have adopted a wonderful Boxer from another rescue. I highly recommend avoiding AABR as they do not seem truly committed to saving dogs and placing them in loving homes. This is a terribly managed rescue, so don’t get your hopes up!
