This year, my husband's service-related injuries worsened significantly. As we were navigating his health care and realizing that he would no longer be able to work, we started applying for VA and disability benefits. These already time-consuming processes have been complicated by the pandemic as well. Stuck in the middle, we started having difficulty paying our bills. The Coalition helped us by covering our rent last month. It was a HUGE weight off of our shoulders and allowed us to work on my husband's health with a little less stress last month. The staff was kind, explained what they needed to verify our situation, and worked quickly to provide assistance. We are very thankful for their help!
