A few years back we lost one of our dogs ,she wasn't a Weimaraner but she was the alfa and when we lost her our 3 year old Spirit was lost . We had no plan on getting another dog but he was so miserable we found GLWR and saw a beautiful little 7 year old girl named Marley Mae. It was instant love before we even met her. I love that they do such a great back round check on people what to adopt ,it took which seemed like forever but it was so worth it. It was a 18 hour round trip to get her but it wasn't the last trip :-). A while later they posted Bosco and again it was love at first sight. And again the 18 hour drive Labor Day weekend no less , but again so worth it. Now we are terrible foster parents because they fail every time and stay forever. These people are great and there love for the dogs shows ,knowing they only want what's best for them. We have adopted ,fostered and picked up dogs when needed . Picked up a very old Weimaraner who was 40 pounds under weight and could hardly walk. My vet said around 14 ,we got him healthy and well another foster fail. I will help this nonprofit anytime they ask . Adopt from they you won't be sorry.
