I have been a volunteer at CNEER since July 2015 and it has been an amazing journey.

CNEER is an organization that not only rescues horses and donkeys, but gives them the second chance they deserve at a high level, by making sure all volunteers are educated with the knowledge of horsemanship that needs to be for safety of themselves and the equines.

Being a Trauma Survivor, I can relate to anxiety and pain, understanding that patience is the key when working with these abused and neglected horses is crucial. I have grown so much, since I have become part of this organization, in horsemanship knowledge and by me working with the horses hands on, it has helped me with my own healing process.

Along this journey, I also have built many relationships with like minded people through sharing our stories, wanting to make a difference.

I’m blessed to have found CNEER, I encourage everyone to check the organization out and to hear the story of how it became about, it’s pretty amazing and heartfelt.
