In November of 2016 I had to put my dog down of 14 1/2 years. It was a very hard time for me. My neighbor ran into a couple who were fosters for One Love Animal Rescue. They were at the vet with a papillon chichuhua named Jack who was an owner surrender and afraid of his shadow and per the foster’s not really treated well. I filled out an application and met with the couple who were fostering Jack. I held him in my arms and I knew he had chosen me. A couple of months later I thought Jack could use a furry friend. So I called the people who had fostered Jack and they said they had the perfect match for Jack and introduced me to Max. Jack is about 16 pounds and Max is 5.6 pounds. It was and is a match made in Heaven. They are always together and you would think they were together all their life. I loved this organization so much that I became a volunteer and a foster. It’s amazing to see a dog come to life again once they are show. So much deserved love. After a few successful adoptions , I was fostering my one eyed wonder senior chi named Dexter who stole my heart and my rat pack loved him as much as me and now I have three.
I can’t say enough good things about One Love Animal Rescue. So many experienced fosters and all the dogs they take in get the medical care they need.
