I lost my cockatoo and had so much bird stuff that I wanted to donate to a sanctuary. It took awhile to find anything remotely close, but when I found and went to visit Audrey I was shocked at the sheer size of her operation. I didn't stay long, but what I saw touched me deeply.
It seemed that she does this beyond full-time and she gives love and care to many, many birds. I met some older birds, some with health issues. Audrey knew every name, every story.
The place is clean and that's *hard* with birds. It's as spacious as could be expected. The birds have toys and enrichment, a flock if they want it and they have her respect, her knowledge and experience and her whole heart.
This is a labor of love and, should I ever be able to have another bird in my life, I'll go to Audrey.
