My husband and I adopted a cat from the UCSPCA In January after the death of a beloved pet. We had gone to another shelter closer to home, but were treated rudely and the staff seemed unaware of animals’s medical needs. So we decided to go to Ulster. The staff were kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the personalities and needs of the cats under their care, and took the time to answer all our questions. They adoption coordinator made sure the cat we chose would be compatible with the cat already living with us. In the end, we brought home a 4 year old male kitty named Swan who is an absolute joy. We are so happy with the process and the care given to making sure the adoption would work.
