I am an avian veterinarian who has had the privilege of working closely with Palomacy in the Bay Area to rescue and rehabilitate pigeons and doves. Elizabeth and many amazingly generous volunteers of Palomacy are extremely dedicated to the well-being, preservation, and advocacy of these birds and go to great lengths to make sure that they can protect and save as many lives as possible. They serve as a wealth of information and provide free resources and outreach events to the local communities about companion and wild pigeons and doves. I highly recommend this organization, as a go-to for any homeless helpless pigeon in need, and for new pigeon owners seeking advice and community.
