I was first introduced to Teen Lifeline about 5 years ago when I worked as a direct support caregiver at my company. One of the clients I worked with was struggling and called the hotline and they were there for her when she needed someone her own age the most. My next encounter with Teen Lifeline came when I saw the number on my daughters school ID and she spoke positively about the times she heard her peers tell stories of how Teen Lifeline helped them with their struggles. I was so impressed that when I became an educator within my company I decided to get some personal insight direct from the source. One of the Social Workers there was very friendly and informative and was even willing to give a free training to my agency. My agency leaders and staff were very impressed by her passion and knowledge. After that experience I have been a strong advocate in what Teen Lifeline does and what they stand for. While obtaining my master's degree at ASU I was in need of an internship and I thought about all the wonderful community events and support Teen Lifeline provides so I spoke with the Clinical Director Nikki Kontz. Nikki so passionate, professional, and knowledgeable it astounds me. What made my internship experience even better was all of the wonderful people who work and volunteer at Teen Lifeline. Thank you so much for the care, education, support, and understanding you provide our youth and our community as a whole.
