As a 73-year-old retiree, I found The Career Gateway Job Search Workshop in September, 2019 to be a great way to get invaluable training and individualized attention. Jodi Rasch , the coordinator, and Margo Smith, the facilitator, could not have been more encouraging, helpful, and informative, They created a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering environment in which I and others in the class responded with creative energy to revise resumes, understand ourselves better, and explore the changing job market. The organization and flexibility were great. I had the opportunity to do a demo interview which really helped me realize the strategy that best fits my goals. The computer classes and mentoring services helped to follow through with lessons learned. Although I applied to the George Mason University positions with renewed confidence and skill set to expect successful outcomes, I have had other challenges in the interim. I hope to resume my search as circumstances permit. I give this program and organization the highest commendation.
