Review for Friends Of The Troops, Chattanooga, TN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Joined Friends of the Troops several years ago to help support my fellow Veterans. Have adopted and supported many current and former vets with correspondence, goody boxes, and needed supplies over the years. It had been very fulfilling to know that every dollar I donate goes where it needs to go and not to administrative overhead as many veteran organizations do. Response from those supported let's me know that my efforts and donations are well received and going to a great purpose. This group is still young and will continue to add much needed support to veterans at every level, location, and age. Very proud to be a part of Friends of the Troops!

Have volunteered here fir about a year. Have adopted several service members. Cannot begin to tell you how rewarding it has been to support these young people and hear their stories and appreciation. This organization is the perfect way to say thank you to these people that do so much for our country!

Just started with Friends of the Troops a couple of months ago as a volunteer. I have adopted a Navy person stationed in the Pacific and an Army person in Afganistan. Have also supported our national guard personnel along the southern border. Being a verteran myself I can say this ability to give back to those who are currently serving our country and to make sure they never forget how important their service is has been an uplifting experience for me. As a Viet Nam vet I can tell you how depressing it was to be treated the way most Nam vets were upon our return. I am glad Friends of the Troops endeavors to make sure our service personnel are recognized and made to feel that they will never be forgotten for their sacrifice to our great country. I hope Friends of the Troops continues to be the supportive organization it is for many years to come. I know I will do all that I can to support them in this effort.
