Friends Of The Troops really made my kids Christmas this year. I am a struggling single Father of 4 going through a divorce with no help from the other parent. Not only did they provide my children's Christmas they also helped provide groceries. I have been serving for 23 years and had no idea this organizations existed. They are absolutely a life saver, and I don't know what I would have done without them.
Friends of the Troops is an incredible nonprofit that I am grateful and blessed to be connected with! Friends of the Troops is a critical connection to the support of our military service personnel local and throughout the world, their families and Veterans! Nothing but 5 Star!!!!!!!
I’m a military mom and was hearing a lot of stories of how so many feel isolated and depressed while serving. I wanted to find away to support our Troops, as no one should feel aline or forgotten while serving our country. I was able to connect with Friends of the Troops. It is such a great organization. We receive weekly emails that includes small bios of those who are looking to receive mail. We also get notified about care package opportunities that we could send. The only obligation is that you mail two cards/letters per month. It feels so good to be able to support those who fight and serve for us.
Friends of the Troops has a clear mission - and makes it happen. Incredibly well run. (No idea when/if Jessica sleeps!) The fellow volunteers are welcoming and positive. This organization has provided me with the opportunity to support those currently serving (at home and abroad), our veterans, to participate in the adopt-a-soldier program and to help provide a Christmas to military families that need a helping hand. The letters received by FOTT from those impacted by the efforts of the organization... bring tears to my eyes. This organization is making a difference!! A five star organization in every way.
Friends Of the Troops has been far the most positive experience I have had being a volunteer in this field. The organization makes sure all veterans and military service members connected with Friends Of The Troops are taken care of. The organization is also very transparent in all aspects. Highly recommend.
I have volunteered with Friends of the Troops for over 3 years and the positive, friendly, support received from Jessica makes it a pleasure to continue this roll and their mission. We support our soldiers and their families, our veterans and each other. I am so grateful to be part of this team. The lives we touch are precious and I receive as much enjoyment, satisfaction and happiness as the folks we serve.
I have volunteered with Friends of the Troops for several years now and have been consistently impressed with the open, honest communication from its CEO and leadership team. The feedback from the people we serve (US military - active, veteran, and families) validates the value of the organization's work and its service focused commitment.
Friends of the Troops has touched the lives of thousands of members of America's military community, offering financial support, in-kind contributions, and moral support on an ongoing basis. I am proud to do my small part and would recommend the group to all who serve, have served, or wish to support those who do.
I’m a current volunteer for about a year and a half now and I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for this organization. I do my part in what I can throughout the year but the amount of work and service that happens behind doors makes me feel like I choose the right organization to be apart of. It breaks my heart to see our troops not taken care of as is, and I know there are many organizations to choose from, but I feel really blessed to know our CEO Jessica has poured her heart and soul into doing everything she can to make this the best out there for our troops.
All the love from California.
I'm a volunteer with Friends of The Troops and I see first hand how well they support our deployed soldiers and veterans.
It can be a good way to volunteer from your home. It's fulfilling to know you have done something to boost the morale of soldiers and veterans.
I discovered Friends of the Troops through a YouTube reel and was immediately drawn to their mission. This organization does such meaningful work for the brave individuals who protect and serve us. From the moment I got involved, I felt welcomed—Jessica, in particular, is incredibly responsive and helpful. You can ask her anything, and she always provides clear, quick answers, which makes the entire experience so seamless.
What I love most is the direct line of communication. Whether it's writing letters or sending care packages, you truly feel the impact of your efforts. Seeing photos or hearing about the difference you're making is such a rewarding and humbling experience.
Friends of the Troops is doing amazing work, and I'm so proud to be part of this organization. If you're looking for a way to give back, this is an incredible way to do it.
Being a member of this organization brings not only me immense joy as a volunteer, but I know the soldiers who receive cards/packages love it too! FOTT has introduced me to many new people via adopting a soldier and exchanging letters, and it really makes me feel like I'm brightening someone's day which is the least I can do considering all the soldiers are doing for us!
I joined Friends of the Troops as a volunteer in the summer of 2020. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
I am incredibly grateful to Friends of the Troops for their incredible support during one of the most challenging times in my life. As a single parent facing both financial and personal hardship, I was struggling to provide a memorable Christmas for my son. Thanks to the generosity of this amazing organization, my son received a beautiful bike, something I couldn't have afforded on my own. Their thoughtful gift made our holiday season brighter and filled our hearts with joy.
Friends of the Troops goes above and beyond to support service members and their families in need, and their kindness made an immeasurable difference to our lives. The way Jessica from this organization showed dedication and compassion during our time of need are deeply appreciated. This nonprofit is truly instrumental in making the holidays and life a little easier for military families facing hardship. I will never forget their kindness, and I am beyond thankful for everything they did for us.
I'm a volunteer for Friends of the Troops for 2 years. The organization is really descriptive.
It gives you full info on the details, in which to write to our Military. I find it relaxing writing
to our soldiers and sometimes I even get replies!
One of the greatest gifts you can give us is your time. JD
I joined Friends of the Troops 2 years ago and I enjoy writing to our service people
and sending little homemade keepsakes to them. Friends of the Troops is very
informative about the service member you'll be writing to and I feel that is why
I enjoy the organization. It keeps me busy! I even met a Chief Petty Officer in
the Navy. He came to visit me. That's what's exciting about it too!
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, They just have the heart.

This group is well organized and concentrates on true appreciation of our military men and women. Phenomenal help is given to military families in need. Also, heartfelt messages are sent to those heroes that serve our country all over the world. Measures are taken to ensure that all monies are spent wisely. It is with great honor that I am included in this nonprofit.
I am so proud to be a volunteer for this amazing non profit! Our military service men and woman deserve so much for all they have done for us. I love being able to give back to them any way I can. Friends of the Troops makes such a difference in lives of so many, I am so proud to be a part of it.
This amazing organization helped our kids have an amazing Christmas! Thank you so much for all you did for our family!
My husband was nominated by his first sergeant and Chaplin for our large family of 8 to receive help this Christmas after moving in December and having a series of events happening. It started with a phone call from Jessica who was very kind and had an upbeat personality. She didn't make us feel any less and truly shows how much she really cares about helping military families! She went over each and every one of our six kids needs and interests to really try and get them things they enjoyed. The people who donate to this cause seriously help so much and wish I could thank them all in person! Jessica not only sent packages for my kids but we received cards that people made which made it really special! We are so thankful for this organization and truly wouldn't have the Christmas we had without all these kind people! My wish is that everyone could support them and they could help lots of families across America! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts! It won't let me post more photos with my boys in them too but I had 6 happy kids!!
Friends of the Troops sponsored our family for the Holidays. A friend of mine referred us, and we were blown away by the generosity. We would have never asked for help, and I don’t consider us “in need”. However, we had a recent diagnosis for our youngest son a couple months prior to my husband’s retirement. We had unexpected therapy and services bills piling up, and all of that just around the corner from Christmas!
I've been going through a lot financially and I was able to get the help in support I needed to make it through this holiday season they took care of me and provided me with a little extra money so I can get groceries as well I've never had an organization treat me so well with such good staff
I am incredibly grateful to Friends of the Troops for their generous and thoughtful gift to my newborn baby. The collection of gifts was both practical and heartwarming, and it truly made this special time even more memorable for our family. Your kindness and support mean the world to us, and we appreciate everything you've done to make this moment in our lives even more wonderful. Thank you so much for your generosity!
Such an amazing organization! They offer so much and help and do so much for the troops and their families! Thankful for them is an understatement this year
I just wanted to thank Friends of the Troops for helping out with Christmas. The children loved their gifts. I’ll definitely recommend someone to get in contact with you if in need of assistance. Thank you and have a safe and wonderful New Year.
Ended up being short on gifts for my kids this year due to work and some other bad situations I put myself into. I had someone refer me to a person who works for Friends of the Troops and they were very helpful in every way possible. My kids will have all the gifts they need this year thanks to them! Highly recommend anyone in need this Christmas reach out to this program for help! They even helped with other essentials we needed around the house!
Friends of the Troops is truly a remarkable organization. Their unwavering commitment to supporting veterans and their families goes above and beyond. From the moment they reached out, I was met with genuine kindness, respect, and understanding.
The resources they provide—whether it’s career guidance, emotional support, or assistance transitioning to civilian life—are top-notch. Their team is compassionate, professional, and deeply dedicated to making a meaningful difference.
What sets Friends of the Troops apart is their personal touch. They treat you like family, not just another case. You feel valued and supported every step of the way. As a veteran, knowing there’s a community that truly cares about your well-being is priceless.
Thank you, Friends of the Troops, for everything you do. You’re not just helping veterans—you’re changing lives. If you’re a veteran or know one who could use some help, don’t hesitate to reach out to them. They are a beacon of hope and support!
Friends of the Troops is such an amazing organization. They stand for what their name entails; what they have done for my family will always be remembered and I am very thankful!
The kindness, attentiveness, and passion for our troops is evident in everything Friends of the Troops does. Our service members and veterans are vastly under-appreciated in the USA, and this organization is on a mission to change that.
Friends of the Troops cares for their volunteers in an intentional way. Volunteer communication is top notch and updates/changes are communicated quickly and effectively.
The work Friends of the Troops does is IMPORTANT and NEEDED. I 10/10 recommend this incredible non-profit!
I love Friends of the Troops. It is a great group of volunteers, and Jessica, the head of this nonprofit is amazing! She is on top of everything! She sends reminders, shares any thank you notes she receives, and responds to any questions or problems you may have within a few hours.
Supporting our troops and veterans is very important to me, as I grew up in a military family. I know first hand how important "mail call" can be, especially to those troops that are deployed. And to receive mail from folks they don't even know is a real morale booster! And thanking veterans for their service - who doesn't like to be thanked once in awhile?!
This is an outstanding organization. I’ve volunteered with them for several years now and it is one of the most rewarding things I do. I have always sponsored at least 2 of our soldiers. FOTT helps so many soldiers dealing with personal disasters, loss of loved ones, etc. The organization is very well run. I get quick e-mails from Jessica no matter the day of the week or the time of the day with a personal response to my question! They are always looking for ways to let our service members know they are appreciated! I have a lot of volunteer “jobs” and I highly recommend FOTT to anyone who has a passion for our service members!
This nonprofit helped my family of 6 with money to help us after a storm took our power out for 4 days with my husband having had surgery the thursday before and us having 4 younger kids its extremelyhard! They were amazing and that money helped us get food and a hotel for a night so we could bath and get out of the heat.

jessicaduke 06/04/2024
Thank you for the feedback. We are glad we could help, and hope things are better for you guys after that tornado!
Friends of the Troops stepped in and helped provide food after a tornado caused a massive power outage in our area resulting in food loss. No other assistance was available in our county and we felt so defeated until they offered us hope. Thank you Friends of the Troops for going above and beyond in our time of need.

jessicaduke 06/04/2024
Thank you for the positive feedback. We are glad we were able to help!
Friends of the troops really will go out of there way for a soldier in need. I won’t say too much on my story but I was stuck between a rock and a hard place like we mostly get at some point in our lives. I called this this nonprofit for help and they went beyond the call of duty to help me. I thank y’all so much. Your support was a true blessing.

jessicaduke 04/22/2024
Thank you for the kind words. We are so glad to have been able to help!
Words cannot express how grateful I am for Friends of the Troops. I'm a single parent soldier who recently experienced some unexpected hardships during the winter months. Food and groceries were difficult to come by for majority of the winter months. The CEO of Friends of the Troop then reached out with a very genuine and kindhearted handwritten message along with a care package was nothing less than a delightful surprise for our home.
It is the level of philanthropy work, that Friends of the Troops has demonstrated, not just for me, but for multiple communities, which has made a significant mark. I say wholeheartedly, I graciously, THANK YOU and I shall pay this forward.
Very Respectfully,
KH

We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to help when it was needed. Thank you for the kind words. Best of luck, and we appreciate you and thank you for your service.
Friends Of The Troops has been truly exceptional to work with. On multiple occasions, they have stood up and answered the call to help our Service Members in times of crisis, deployment, or even missions occuring state side within the community. I cannot praise this organization enough for what they do. Truly, they are FRIENDS OF THE TROOPS.
I have volunteered with Friends of The Troops about a year now, Jessica is always there helping & leading us. We are always encouraged to do what we can. We can do a little or we can do a lot. Every card, package is making a difference.
I've been a volunteer with Friends of the Troops for several years. It is by far the most rewarding thing I do. It takes very little time to write a thank you note, but the impact can be huge! Jessica makes it very easy to participate and she's always so supportive of everyone's contributions. There is lots of encouragement from the other volunteers too! If you are looking for a way to show your appreciation for our military family, both active duty and vets, I highly encourage you to look into Friends of the Troops!
Jessica is a great leader, she’s is very transparent. She appreciates and celebrates the volunteers. It is always a joy to hear back from a service member, but even when we don’t, we know we are making a difference by encouraging them.
I have been a volunteer for just over three years now and I couldn’t be more happy doing so! It is a lot of fun sending cards and care packages to our Veterans and Troops. Being able to give back to our Men and Women in uniform, it is a true honor and privilege. They deserve the world, I am so grateful for this opportunity to give back. Thank you Friends of the Troops for all that you do and thanks for letting me be apart of it!!
Joined Friends of the Troops several years ago to help support my fellow Veterans. Have adopted and supported many current and former vets with correspondence, goody boxes, and needed supplies over the years. It had been very fulfilling to know that every dollar I donate goes where it needs to go and not to administrative overhead as many veteran organizations do. Response from those supported let's me know that my efforts and donations are well received and going to a great purpose. This group is still young and will continue to add much needed support to veterans at every level, location, and age. Very proud to be a part of Friends of the Troops!

Have volunteered here fir about a year. Have adopted several service members. Cannot begin to tell you how rewarding it has been to support these young people and hear their stories and appreciation. This organization is the perfect way to say thank you to these people that do so much for our country!
I have been a sponsor of Friends of the Troops for several years. They love the cards and always appreciate any little thing you send. Just to know someone is thinking of them and being supportive. I love this organization and being a small part of it.
My son recently retired after 20 years so i know how they feel about this organization.

I joined Friends of the Troops in late November/early December 2023 and it has been a gamechanger! I love sending out cards to our deployed and stateside active duty members as well as our veterans. A simple note can make all the difference to someone!
I joined Friends Of The Troops in November of 2020, and it changed my life, and in many ways has saved me.
My friend Missy and I went to a card signing event for Veterans and Service Members, and we joined Friends to send cards and letters all over the US and the world.
I am a disabled person with many health problems, and I quite honestly miss working. I have severe anxiety and depression because of the medical problems I have.
Joining Friends of the Troops has given me a purpose and a mission. To send as many cards and letters as I possibly can to Veterans and Service members. In the last three years, the amount of cards that are being sent out has increased considerably.
In 2023, Missy and I sent 144,820 cards and letters. Our goal to let the vets and service members know that they are honored, appreciated and cared about by complete strangers. We never expected to get letters back from Veterans and Service Members.
The very first letter I received from a Veteran that received a card from us in his final "mail call" packet during his honor flight trip brought me to tears, humbled me and whipped me into a frenzy to sent as many cards and letters as I possibly can.
Why you ask, well the veteran explained that he was a Vietnam Veteran, and for a very long time he regretted his service for many reasons. Some of which were, the horrors he encountered in Vietnam, wanting desperately to return home to safety and comfort, and when he finally made it home he was met with animosity, violence and loathing. He explained that the letters of gratitude he received in his final mail call packet finally restored his pride in his service to our country.
As you can imagine I cried for what that man had to go through, and it reinforced just how important it is to be part of such an amazing organization. Since that very first letter, I have received many more thank you letters, and each and every one humbles me.
I have made it my mission to touch the lives of as many Veterans and service members as I can to let them know they are appreciated. In adopting that mission, Friends of the Troops has given me a purpose, a goal to continue, and faith that there are people that honestly do appreciated gratitude.
I have gained many wonderful friends because of this organization. Many Veterans and service members that I continue to keep in contact with.
Friends of the troops saved me, by allowing me to spread gratitude, respect and support to service members and veterans.
There is nothing ordinary about this nonprofit organization. Superior dedication to making our military families feel supported and valued, insuring that every penny spent does the most good.
I can not think of a better way to honor those enlisted who do so much for us. Growing up an Army brat and having enlisted children of my own I have seen first hand the unnoticed sacrifices made by our military men and women. Being able to send a letter of encouragement to a service member allows me a small way to show my appreciation for their bravery and commitment and truly brightens my day. This is an amazing organization that cares deeply for our service members and their families!
I have been a member of this organization for several years. This group provides great service to all our service members, plus continue to provide great support to their volunteers.

I can not express what joy I have received from volunteering with Friends of The Troops. I have supported this cause for several years and the professionalism showed from Jessica Duke and her team is outstanding. To help support our men and women in uniform is the greatest honor anyone can give of their time, talent and money. To receive that e-mail or text that says thank you from your soldier is the greatest blessing one will have. I urge everyone to get involved with this organization.
I have been a volunteer with Space Coast Honor Flight for 7 years. As part of that work, I noticed that cards were being sent to our honored veterans by Friends of the Troops. I decided to look into this nonprofit myself and I was blown away by what that FOTT accomplishes. Not only do they send cards to veterans, but also to stateside and deployed troops. In addition, many of the volunteers send care packages! The head of FOTT, Jessica, is so organized and is an awesome person. I am proud to be a member of this fine organization.
I have been a volunteer with this company for over 2 years. . .I have loved every minute of helping this organization bring letters and cards and care packages to our service members. I have loved receiving emails and cards back from these people thanking me for the cards and answering questions I have asked and even sharing more about their service. I have been able to adopt 2 soldiers and send them care packages. I will continue to be a part of this organization for as long as I can. They are doing great things!!!

I joined this non-profit while I was living in a hotel as something to bypass the time. My sister's husband was in the Navy and my boyfriend was in the Army. this is about as much experience that I have had with the military. I wanted to do something that would put a smile on someone's face. And what better way than sending cards to people who put their lives on the line to keep us safe!! Jessica and her team have been amazing. I wish that we lived closer to each other so that we could meet!! Thank you for all you have done and all you will continue to do through this group!!!
February 2023 my husband received over 15 birthday cards from all over the United States and it gave him such joy that other people appreciated his military service and wished him a happy birthday. So I decided I wanted to do that for other Veterans and Military troops. So since than I have been a volunteer. It’s been such a blessing to belong to a nonprofit organization that is helping our troops, their families and veterans with their needs, whatever that might be.
I volunteer for this organization, and I can tell you that it is a WONDERFUL organization! These are amazing people that step up and make sure our troops are not forgotten... sending cards, care packages and support to our deployed, our stateside troops and our Veterans.. I am honored to belong to Friends of the Troops! Its a small way for me to make a difference!

Awesome people, awesome efforts, and awesome attitudes! Definitely connected me with resources that very much helped me after falling short on money this year. I was a little embarrassed to reach out for help as I’ve never been in this position before but I was made feel welcome and I’ll for sure share what they’ve done for me to my fellow soldiers!

jessicaduke 12/04/2023
We are glad to be there to help when you needed it. Thank you for the feedback! We wish you well and thank you for your service!
I'm very grateful to Friends of the Troops for their blessings in my life this season. Someone reached out to me and got to know me and my situation. They asked all the right questions to get me exactly what I needed most. I was blown away by the effort and love that was put into my donation. When I felt I had no one in my corner, they reached out to me and were wanting to help in ways others weren't able to.
10/10 hands down the best Nonprofit I've experienced. I couldn't be more grateful or recommend them enough!!! Thank you so much

We were happy to be able to help. Thank you for serving our country!
This organization and founder is amazing, they’re sweet and loving and truly support our troops. I myself have reached out to them in a time of need. And they provided snacks, food, and gift cards to buy groceries with. They loaded me up! I’m very appreciative of Mrs. Duke and everyone involved. Thank you for supporting us!

Thank you for the feedback. We are happy to have been able to help out! We wish you well and thank you for serving our country!
I love volunteering with FOT! We all need to be so grateful for those that keep us safe every day. Jessica makes it so easy for us to be involved in a way that suits our likes and abilities. So happy I can be a part of showing someone how much I appreciate their service and sacrifice!
Friends of the Troops work tirelessly to reach out to deployed, stateside and veterans to make sure they know they are appreciated by packages and cards. They make every penny they are donated goes as far as it can be stretched.
Fantastic organization with dedicated volunteers! They work hard to give back and show appreciation to our amazing troops keeping us safe!
I joined Friends of the Troops in April 2021. I had previously adopted deployed soldiers through another organization that closed down. I was thrilled to find Friends of the Troops via a friend of mine. I signed up right away and have loved every minute of volunteering! I’ve made lots of friendships with my adoptees and veterans. They truly deserve our support and it breaks my heart to think they are away from home without any support and this happens often, sadly. The same goes for veterans who never received a “thank you” for their service. It gives me an indescribable feeling to bring a smile to all their faces in any way possible! As an added bonus, decorating boxes to send gives me a creative outlet that I desperately need so it’s a win-win. Our leader, Jessica, is a true super woman! I don’t know how she does it all but she’s incredible! If you are looking for a way to support our military men & women, look no further! Go sign up!!
Volunteering with Friends of the Troops has been a blessing. I enjoy this way of giving back to those who serve or have served our country. It is a simple but rewarding way to show our thanks for our military. I dont expect a thank you for what I do but it is especially heartwarming to receive cards and letters back from our veterans and servicemembers.

This opportunity to volunteer for Friends of the Troops has brought a lot of joy to my life. It has given me a passion, and it has helped me during the pandemic to find a purpose. I've enjoyed it so very much. I also love receiving letters, cards, and feedback from our military service members and veterans.
I started volunteering with Friends of the Troops at the beginning of the year and Jessica has been awesome in answering any questions I had about the process. It is a very easy way to bring a smile or two to our military members!
I have been a volunteer for Friends of the Troops for over two years and have been blessed to be a part of it. I write to many of our country’s deployed/stateside soldiers and veterans and send care packages whenever I can. It is such a rewarding experience to know that I can bring a smile to a soldier or veteran and make them feel special. Some of these brave men and women would get nothing if not for the work of FOTT. It breaks my heart to know that there are so many out there who are protecting, our have protected, our freedoms who get no thanks or support. Jessica does an amazing job and gives so much of her time and energy to make sure needs are met.
I have been so very blessed to be apart of this organization! I find such joy to write cards and send packages to those who are serving in lands near and far. Jessica does an outstanding job within the organization to make sure needs are met and giving of her time, energy, and heart.
I’ve been volunteering for Friends of the Troops for several years and they are phenomenal. Jessica works tirelessly to support the volunteers, to make sure we have the most accurate information and to keep us informed. While I know Friends of the Troops has grown tremendously since I have been volunteering, Jessica still answers e-mails immediately, keeps everyone informed and has troops that want and appreciate all that we do! I always have at least 3 troops that I have “adopted” during deployment and it is one of the most rewarding things I do!
I just want to give a huge thank you to FRIENDS OF THE TROOPS & Jessica Duke! They are so kind to have sent us these amazing gifts for my baby girl. They definitely helped us tremendously! I loved and appreciated all of the Christmas cards sent to me! They made my day ! THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!!
From day one I received a call from Jessica, and she asked about my daughter’s and what she could do to make their day special. She took the time to ask about the things they like and what they’d appreciate. She absolutely came through for my family and I! I am so pleased with the gifts she sent my girls for Christmas. I will be spreading awareness about this nonprofit organization to all of my fellow service members so we can all come together and donate to this wonderful organization!
Friends of the troops has been a true blessing for kids and I. Ms.Jessica Duke has a very welcoming and comfortable approach that allowed me to open up. I don't ever do this but her deliverance of approach open this for me and I am very appreciative for this and was allowed to share my story and in return be able to bring xmas to my home early. I've been crying in secret tears of worry for the last 3 months but was finally able to pour out tears of comfortable and joy today. I can't stress my appreciation enough for what has been done for my family. I was laid on my chaplain heart and turned over in the hands of what I feel was God sent. I have a testimony today and full of disbelief and gratefulness. Jessica has calling and definitely in the right place to do what she does. Please continue to allow God to drive you in this nonprofit organization again THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. MAY GOD SEND HEALING, BLESSINGS AND BE FRUITFUL THIS SEASON FOR YOU. GOD did it for Job and me who is next? Thank you so much.
I am a member of the 241st in Chattanooga, TN. Friends of The Troops, along with Jessica Duke, has adopted our unit and been such a huge help to all us, especially during this most recent deployment. They have been an absolute blessing, from providing food items to cleaning supplies to really support our entire unit. They also send cards and little notes to show us all that we are appreciated. They literally do everything they possible can to support our troops and family members in every way possible. Words can't express my gratitude. I am so thankful that we were put in contact with this organization.
I wanted to post a note and give a BIG Thank You to Friends of the Troops, Jessica Duke, and all her volunteers. I am a part of the 241st EIS Unit, Volunteer Air Station here in Chattanooga, TN. We recently had a long deployment and have been supported beyond belief by this organization. They have really been a blessing to all of us. They also took the time to support an annual project that we are involved with "Wounded Warrior Hunt" this project brings Wounded Warriors to our area for a long weekend for outdoor activities. They stepped up in a big way for them as well and provided them with gift boxes full of great stuff. They where truly humbled and grateful! I can't say enough about their selfless and generous people paying for most of this out of their own pockets. Thank you guys a million times over!!

Very active, supportive and driven organization! Representative is very engaged informative with regards to the program and its services!
Friends of the Troops is simply amazing. They have helped not only myself but others at my command in a variety ways, including this past Christmas. Every time I arrive I am greeted with smile and overall great service. I couldn't thank them enough.
Friends of The Troops is absolutely phenomenal! I’ve been overseas and sponsored by a few nonprofits and Friends of The Troops is by far one of the best. They do everything they can to ensure they help Soldiers and families. They try to do their best to accommodate your wants and needs if possible. They have been nothing short of amazing with my Soldiers, some of who really benefitted from Friends of The Troops generosity! They are there in a time of need! Thank you Friends of The Troops!!
I have started my third year as a Volunteer for Friends of the Troops. It does not take long to “get hooked” on the spirit and benefits of volunteering with this organization. Our cards, care packages, and multitude of projects for both deployed and state side soldiers are personalized….far more than a mass mailing. It is not unusual for us to become acquainted With these fine soldiers who sacrifice so much for our country. We know that we make a difference and it is a total Joy! Urge your friends to donate to Friends of the Troops so we can continue these important services.
Met Jessica through my platoon sergeant friends of the troops has dropped stuff off that couldn't be sent over seas for the soldiers who are struggling was told if anyone needed help for the holidays to get with my sergeant they was looking for family In need for Christmas speaking to Jessica she was very attentive to my family and story not having the money to have thanksgiving she called me stating a church was helping people in need very resourceful it was a basket full of food was able to cook thanksgiving for my 1 year old and on Christmas she got with she said mothers associate and them both to have clothes for Sophie until around 4 years old she has a full kitchen set a full instruments set with like 10 instruments they have taken care of every need I have more appreciation then I can express what they've done for my family and I
Friends Of Troops have been great to my unit, myself and my family! From assisting us with Thanksgiving and Christmas to just sending out thoughtful written out letters, to me and my family to keep us in high sprits! As it can be difficult being a service member at times.
I got a call from my chaplain that someone was going to call me from friends of the troops initially I didn’t know what this was all about (because I’m new out here) until Jessica called me and explained what they do and ask me how they can be of help to me and my family she was so friendly and nice
I didn’t know what to ask for because I’m used to been the giver almost all my life lol but friends of the troops made me believe that indeed givers never lack
They made the last Christmas very colorful for my family and I, my kids were happy and grateful and yes I promise to pay it forward and I’m glad I can donate to this good course
God bless everyone involved in making this a reality
On behalf of my family and I, I want to say thank you once again for all our gifts it means alot to us.
I first heard of Friends Of the troops when my husband received a birthday card from friends of the troops. That card would be the first of many cards he would get throughout the month from around the world! Jessica Duke and the many volunteers put a smile on my husbands face every time a card would come. Cards were very personal and everyone of them knew we were pregnant with twins in 2020, which I loved that we weren’t just a name on a list!
March 2021 my husband deployed. Friends of the troops sends my husband monthly packages! Again, very personal to holidays and birthdays.
This holiday my kids and I received Christmas presents from friends of the troops! They do not only support the soldier that’s deployed but the family as well. My children got pajamas, diapers, wipes, toys and she even included some stuff for me too!
This is the second time Friends Of The Troops adopted me during my deployment. Not only did they adopt my team but also reached out and helped our sister service that we were working with side by side. The care packages and letters during the holidays played a very crucial role in our morale. Also, the timing of their aid helped us tremendously during our base drawdown prior to the mail system being cutoff unexpectedly. The mission would not have been as successful without Friends of the Troops.

It was our pleasure and an honor to support all of you during your deployment. We truly appreciate all that you do to serve our country! Welcome home!
I have been a volunteer with Friends Of The Troops since October 2020. I enjoy sending cards weekly to our Veterans, active military state side and deployed. I had the pleasure of adopting a soldier who I send cards and care packages to monthly and that is so rewarding in itself...
This is a wonderful organization that goes above and beyond to take care of Active Duty, and Veterans both abroad and back hone to make sure they know they are are cared about and special. They provide care packages, letters, birthday cards, moral support for many who never receive a single card. They also sponsor and provide escorts on the Honor Flights every year for Veterans to Washington and Mail Call for each on of them. I am honored to be a part of such an amazing volunteer organization! It’s a privilege!
This organization does a great job of supporting our military. They are very efficiently run and almost every penny of every dollar goes to helping our troops. I am happy to put my donations where I know they will be used towards programs.
None of us can thank adequately the men and women who serve this country in uniform but this organization tries very hard to do so. As a volunteer driven organization almost every dollar goes to program, not administration. It's very much worth supporting.
I get to write to many recruiters, deployed soldiers, and veterans daily. It makes me so incredibly happy knowing I can bring a smile to someone's face by just writing a card. As a family we have adopted four soldiers. Adopting a soldier through Friends of the Troops means sending letters once a month or more and a care package once a month with requested items from the soldiers. You don’t just help the soldier you adopt but everyone else they work with. A Lot of the time we either receive an email back or a letter. Some soldiers send pictures through email with them and the goodies they received... I’m so glad I am able to help the wonderful people that serve our country.
I started in November of 2020 to be a volunteer for Friends of the Troops. It has changed my life in such a positive way.
My best friend and I have dedicated to hand make cards to send to our active duty soldiers and veterans. We have a goal of 24,000 to 40,000 cards to make and send out in 2021.

I have been a volunteer with Friends of the Troops for a year. From my perspective, the organization is well run, well organized, and focused solely on active soldiers and veterans. The top notch organization of the group allows me, as a volunteer, to easily support soldiers, both past and present, with a minimum of difficulty. When I had questions, which was seldom, they were answered within 24 hours. Participating in this volunteer work has given me a feeling of giving back to those in our country who are giving so much.
I have searched for a way to send care packages to our troops since my discharge in 2000. I came across Friends of the Troops on Facebook in December 2020. Since joining as a volunteer I have sponsored a Marine and a Soldier. I know what receiving these packages mean to our troops. What Friends of the Troops do, really lifts the spirits of our troops. I am honored to be part of such a fantastic organization.
We found “Friends of the Troops” locally. Have donated numerous times via their Amazon wish list.....Such an easy way to help our troops!!
This non-profit is the real deal.....Helping 7 longggg days each week non-stop too!
As a mother to a new recruit of the USMC I wanted to do more than my every couple year donation to deployed troops. After searching for a while someone suggested this group. Jessica was fast to respond to my email and sent me information about how to get involved. I adopted a soldier and have been sending him care packages. I started a month ago and have so much fun decorating the boxes and helping make his time away from home more enjoyable (well as much as I can). I also receive a weekly master list of service men and women and also veterans that I can mail birthday and support cards too. I have ordered special stationary to mail to these selfless brave people. I have really enjoyed getting involved. It’s a wonderful organization to support.
Have been a volunteer with Friends of the Troops for most of 2020. It has been an honor being able to give back to our deployed service members with moral support! The support that was sorely missed during my time in Viet Nam. Enjoy the communications with our troops and enjoy sending along surprise goody boxes each month. I know first-hand how special anything from home is.
I join this group because I believe our soldiers need our support. This organization provides daily update and I feel save that my gifts are going directly to the Troops. If you are looking for a way to change someone life join today.
An amazing organization, run by passionate folks who really want to take care of our military and veterans. It's an honor and a privilege to be involved in such a rewarding opportunity. It's easy and fun too - send cards, send kid's drawings and silly notes, send care packages. Whatever you send, it is appreciated!
Friends Of The Troops provides amazing support to deployed troops, those serving stateside and Veterans. They help military families in times of need. As a volunteer, it is wonderful to know that we are helping so many servicemen and women who do so much for us. Great organization!
This nonprofit is helping thousands that deserve more than we can attempt to provide for. Thank you for everything you do everyday. We enjoy putting a smile on your faces.
The Friends of the Troops organization provides the opportunity to connect with our military personnel by sending them cards and care packages who otherwise would not get support from home. I have personally seen the difference my boxes have made in the lives of the men and women that I adopted and it is very rewarding to know that I was able to brighten the day of someone who has chosen to defend our country. This organization is all about supporting as many of our brave military personnel as possible with many volunteers giving tirelessly of their time. I feel blessed to be a part of such an organization.
So glad to be a part of this organization, letting our armed forces and veterans know they are appreciated and not forgotten is the main goal. Sending care packages and cards to those who need support is definitely a rewarding experience,
As a Volunteer with Friends of the Troops, I can honestly say it is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. From writing cards to Veterans for the Honor Flights to sending cards and packages to deployed troops and supporting those stateside. I am honored when I receive a letter from someone I have written who shares with me a glimpse into their military experience. All of our troops deserve our support and that is the mission of Friends of the Troops. We want our military to know that they are appreciated and not forgotten.
This organization has been such a blessing to our family. They helped fill our mailbox with cards to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday, sent our family a lot of well wishes when we welcomed our daughter, and have supported us while my husband deals with some rough medical situations.
Friends of the Troops is a fabulous organization that supports service members and veterans in many ways. The staff is super attentive to volunteer questions, and fellow volunteers are very helpful with any questions. Being able to support our uniformed men and women-past and present-through an organization who cares for our military as much as I do is an absolute pleasure. I'm so fortunate to be able to help alongside such great folks.
I'm a Veteran, who is married to a Veteran, and the daughter of a Veteran. These reasons alone make me truly respect what Friends Of The Troops is doing and standing for. Stepping in as support for not only our deployed and stateside troops, but our veterans as well, is such an important role. I believe too many forget about the sacrifices of our service members too often. Being a volunteer with Friends Of The Troops, a movement that ensures the love, encouragement, and appreciation of my military brothers and sisters allows me to be just a small part of the true appreciation they deserve. I am proud to be part of such a wonderful organization.
Friends Of The Troops is incredible! What an amazing job they do Blessing our troops and Veterans! They are creating such a great impact and work so hard to make a difference in the long days and nights of service Men and Women!! The care packages and letters sent are overflowing with thoughtfulness, love, and care for those who are near and far sacrificing for our Country! Way to go Friends Of The Troops!!
I enjoy volunteering with Friends of The Troops. Each week we have opportunities to send cards to our veterans and both deployed and stateside military. Encouragement and support is important for them all. This is one way I can show my support for their sacrifices.
Friends of the Troops is an amazing, fun and very positive support group for our deployed Troops and Stateside Service Members as well as our Vets. I so very much enjoy being involved with Friends of the Troops, they encourage members to host card signing events such as a fantastic Honor Flight Card Signing Event I recently hosted on a Carnival Cruise. Was a wonderful time and I came home with over 1,200 cards signed for our Vets as well as Xmas cards for our deployed Troops. Friends of the Troops is a friendly and very responsive team. I am honored to be part of this amazing organization and supporting our Military!
