I candidly knew very little about mesothelioma before attending PMC's annual Walk for Mesothelioma. While I was impressed with their mesothelioma research fundraising endeavors, I was even more impressed with how much I learned after attending the walk. They do an excellent job raising awareness about this very unknown disease. At the walk they had information all along the trail detailing how many people are diagnosed each year, the uses of asbestos (the cause of mesothelioma) in household products, and the fact that it is still not universally banned in the U.S. What they are doing is very important because the more people who learn this information and share it with others the more cautious one will be about potential exposure.

Overall, a great cause run by people very passionate about helping mesothelioma patients.
