We adopted a very beautiful long hair German Shepherd from All Terrier Rescue 5 years ago. They thought he was a Teruvian, but he's a Shepherd. At a year old, he was from a high kill shelter in California where he'd spent two months. He was in perfect health, well groomed, newly neutered. All Terrier was frank about his behavior issues : he'd been returned twice by other adopters. Two months in a kill shelter had an effect on him. But he's a wonderful German Shepherd, fierce guardian, intelligent, high strung due to highly bred, family member. If it weren't for All Terrier Rescue, he would have died young. Caring for a large group of dogs must be difficult to maintain total cleanliness , order, health ( sickness spreads fast ) but our boy came through with good care.
