I adopted two wonderful pigeons from Palomacy in August 2019, and Elizabeth Young was so supportive through the whole process.

Saturday the 27th of August, a week or so after they came to my home, my adopted pigeon Cosmo began having a respiratory problem that seemed to worsen as the day went on. Come evening I, very new to being a pigeon parent, was at a loss, terrified that he might have something very serious. The wonderful and generous Elizabeth came to my place well past midnight despite the late hour to help. She gave care and instruction and helped me to feel like there was a plan for Cosmo's care. Particularly as I was meant to leave on a trip to Alaska the following Tuesday (a trip that had been scheduled for two years so I couldn't really move it around). Cosmo's condition got better and while I've been away both Elizabeth and the amazing Ari Wee, another pigeon parent I met through Palomacy's amazing community, were such an amazing care team for the boys, keeping a watchful loving eye on Cosmo's condition and being sure they were safe and looked after.

Ever since the boys have been doing great. They are the perfect addition to my home and I am so grateful for the existence of Palomacy and their generous hearted network of staff and supporters who not only help you to find the perfect companion but to make sure you and your companions feel there are helping hands, understanding ears, and useful resources always nearby when you need it!
