I have been associating with Volunteering together for Service (VT Seva) since early stages of this organization. The Sharing and giving concept of it encourages many like me to perform volunteering work in helping others. As a teacher/organizer/ donor been supporting VT Seva’s projects.

VT Seva projects touch many lives in different forms. For example the education for physically disadvantage individuals, support to financially needy families by providing healthcare, education, and rehabilitation during natural calamities all over the world. I were surprised by those students willing to accept any level of help and pursue their dream with confidence.

I am also impressed with the VT Seva team's efforts in bringing awareness among women about the different forms of cancer and support them by providing medicines and follow up medical care either as inpatient or outpatient.

Mahila Arogya Vikas is conducting camps in remote villages in many states in India. These free camps are available to many local communities. My family sponsored one of these health camps in a village called Sanivarappeta in Andhra Pradesh, India. I requested this camp at that location since it was the place my grandparents lived a few decades ago. To my surprise, the team exhibited very high standard performance. They were well equipped and very meticulously executed their plan.
1. They advertised well in the neighborhood. Distributed pamphlets. Made repeated announcements in the streets by going around in a rickshaw.
2. They set up a booth with excellent privacy for all patients as much as needed.
3. They have the latest electronic equipment for this purpose.
4. Provided prescription medicines to pick up after check-up.
5. Qualified staff available on-site including a physician, nurse, and helpers
6. Patient privacy was highlighted.
7. Registration desk with qualified and trained volunteers
8. Snack, food and drink items plenty for all
The camp was for 5 hours and served nearly 150 women on that day. I understand that usually at other camps it is a much larger number.

I happened to be there and watched the process of the care the team was giving. All the volunteers were very friendly, kind and responsible.

Sponsoring a student or health camp or working on a project with a local Boston chapter is a wonderful feeling. I feel proud to be part of this organization. VT Seva activities are non-religious and only focus on the wellbeing of the individual to make them better citizens of this world. Currently, on a regular basis, I volunteer at Prajna camps, weekly Prajna education, 5k walk for social a cause, neighboring town spring cleanup day activities.
VT Seva also recognizes the individuals for their services through US President Medals. I also received that recognition in the form of a Bronze medal.

I promise myself to be part of the VT Seva and its activities forever. My desire is to encourage many others to join hands with VT Seva to make this world a better place to live for many needy families.
