Review for The Education Partnership, Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Although the positive experiences with The Education Partnership go back to when they first opened their doors, I have to focus on what this organization has done for us during COVID. Teaching students remotely does not only involve getting devices into their hands. Elementary students need paper, pencils, crayons, whiteboards, dry erase markers, scissors, and books at home. The Education Partnership helped us out greatly with this! Students were also able to receive a throw blanket at one point through a generous donation. Taking everyone's health and safety into account, our terrific friends delivered the supplies to our school. Although we have returned to the classroom, increases in student illness and winter weather has caused us to go remote many times this year once again needing additional supplies that we were able to get through the Adopt a School program. Every person that I have encountered over the years at The Education Partnership has been warm, caring, and ready to pitch in to help our children!!

Review for ESTEEM Group Inc., Moon Township, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

So many people say, “We’ve got to do something about this” but fail to step up. Gena and her team at The ESTEEM Group have done that and more. At first glance, it may just look like dancing and yoga. But, I’ve watched our K, 2nd, and 4th grade students grow as a class community and as individuals. Students who were reluctant to try because they didn’t know how, or felt they would be laughed at for not being good, learned that everyone is a learner at some point. Persistence pays off. Encouragement goes far. Have fun with others. This is the practical, day by day social emotional learning that our students need. The proof was the performances for parents who are even more reluctant! Students gave the same encouragement and step by step directions as they had been given. The transfer we look for. I can’t wait for the rest of our students to participate this year!
