The Education Partnership

As a new music teacher traveling between two schools, I faced major challenges from day one. With no basic supplies or instruments, I had to buy essentials like scissors and tape out of my own pocket just to get started. Rebuilding the music program from scratch was daunting, but The Education Partnership (TEP) has been a game-changer. Their support has provided the resources I desperately needed, allowing me to focus on what matters most—teaching and inspiring my students. TEP’s impact is real and felt in classrooms like mine every day.

TEP has a great group of schools with well-deserving students and educators who care deeply about the work they put forth, it makes one feel honored to be part of providing the resources necessary for all parties to succeed and continue this great work.

I had the absolute best time during my volunteer days. TEP employees were so warm and welcoming when we visited the facility to help pack the kits. I loved meeting with the children within the communities that we serve. I look forward to participating in more events in the future. Thank you, all!

The additional student supplies significantly enhance our school's ability to deliver equitable education experiences to our students by ensuring that all learners have access to the resources they need to succeed. Students really LOVE getting school supplies. Ever since COVID and families number one concern is putting food on the table. School supplies for their children have taken a back seat. Once again thank you for thinking of us because our students LOVE getting school supplies.

TEP’s hard-working staff are 100% dedicated to ensuring that the students and teachers they serve are fully supported. From providing free school supplies and classroom essentials in the Teacher Resource Center to collecting supply donations and raising awareness of educational inequity, TEP’s efforts are truly comprehensive. It has been an honor to support TEP at various community events throughout the summer and witness their impact firsthand.

My time volunteering at The Education Partnership was great. The experience of helping to clean and paint the facilities not only felt rewarding but also allowed me to play a part in shaping a warm and inviting space for teachers. I love tep. As a science teacher, their donation of school supplies, including cleaning materials, has helped my classroom. The cleaning supplies can be costly and it is super important to have a clean space for their learning.

The supplies I receive and the care that I get when I walk in the doors make my trip to Corliss St. worth it every time. TEP really tries every day to get teachers and students supplies. I don't think I would be as effective of a teacher if it weren't for the constant support I get in the form of supplies, professional development, and support from TEP. Although the positive experiences with The Education Partnership go back to when they first opened their doors, I have to focus on what this organization has done for us during COVID. Teaching students remotely does not only involve getting devices into their hands. Elementary students need paper, pencils, crayons, whiteboards, dry erase markers, scissors, and books at home. The Education Partnership helped us out greatly with this! Students were also able to receive a throw blanket at one point through a generous donation. Taking everyone's health and safety into account, our terrific friends delivered the supplies to our school. Although we have returned to the classroom, increases in student illness and winter weather has caused us to go remote many times this year once again needing additional supplies that we were able to get through the Adopt a School program. Every person that I have encountered over the years at The Education Partnership has been warm, caring, and ready to pitch in to help our children!!

I consider TEP absolutely essential for the success of students and teachers in my school. Without their supplies, my students would be without many items needed for learning. All of these supplies are what make learning possible in my classroom. Without them, I would have to spend hundreds of dollars on supplies to make my classroom run. I am so happy to get to be a part of their network.

We love our partnership with The Education Partnership. As a school 100% free and reduced lunch population, we support our scholars and families with the supplies needed for school. We would not be able to do this without our partnership with The Education Partnership. We also have limited funds for needed furniture and other miscellaneous needs. The Education Partnership has afforded us the opportunity to replace parent/guardian meeting space furniture to make a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for our families! The opportunity to visit and shop at The Education Partnership also provides a fun and exciting event for our staff!

I started working at Pressley Ridge Day School Greensburg 6 years ago and was impressed when I had the chance to first enjoy the benefits and excitement of the Education Partnership. The process of everything is so smooth, they are so amazingly flexible, and when you go to the place it is even more amazing! After I went through the first part of the program where you receive the packs that the volunteers make for the teachers and schools I couldn't help give the person a hug. It was amazing. School supplies that I was not sure I would have enough of I was able to get and then I was able to get to the part where we were able to search for treasures! It was just such a wonderful experience and it continues to be one year after year. And all the supplies that we receive are well used every year. The support, the dedication and the hard workings of the people from the ed Partnership are among the best non-profits I have ever worked with in my life. I can not thank them enough school year after school year!

I have always believed that children are our future. I give a big thank you to the Education Partnership and it's volunteer coordinator, Stacy. As a volunteer, I see the excitement first hand when the teachers come in to shop. I will continue to volunteer as often as I can.

The Education Partnership has made a huge impact on our students, school, and community. All students are given the same amount of supplies to utilize in the classroom and at home. Our students have participated in and completed monthly projects with these supplies. Additionally, teachers were able to give students books to read at home. This ultimately increased participation in our building reading incentive program.

The free STEM resources available has increased excitement and cross-curricular lessons for teachers to implement.

I am so thankful for The Education Partnership!

The contributions that The Education Partnership make are evidence of their goal to bring quality education to ALL students. They are supplying my classroom and providing me with resources to send home. Many of my students do not have the necessary supplies to complete school work at home. In this time of hybrid/online/in person learning having the tools at home are critical. I cannot explain in words how excited my students are when they are given supplies to take home. Their eyes light up and plans for using/sharing the supplies are immediately heard. A box of markers may cost $2.00...but in my classroom they are treated like a million bucks. The Education Partnership helps bridge the gap between the haves and have nots.

"My schools have been involved with The Education Partnership for eight years, and I would never want to end the association. This group understands teaching and teacher needs and has created a generous support system that not only provides supplies but also helps build teacher morale. I love the "surprise extras" the Education Partnership offers beyond school supplies. For example, I have been able to select material, craft sticks and even furniture for our Maker Space. Each year, they get better and better. Their services have grown from offering pencils and crayons to maintaining a STEAM lending library. "

The resources from the Educational Partnership always put a smile on my students' faces. Just today, I distributed a box of markers to each student. I wanted students to leave the markers at school so that we can complete colorful projects. A majority of the students asked if they could take them home. They wanted to practice working on our weather and shape concepts. A pack of markers made a whole group of students so motivated to continue their learning at home. To a 5 or 6 year old, receiving a pack of markers is like hitting the lottery.

We are CLASS Academy in Beaver County and we could not be more appreciative and grateful for the opportunity to work with the program and especially the staff of The Education Partnership. Our teachers could not be more excited and thrilled with their supplies and ability to work them into their curriculum. Thank you!

As a school leader, I am in awe of the work of TEP does for the schools greater Pittsburgh community. The donated supplies, resources and materials are invaluable to my staff and we are forever grateful. TEP is organized, well-managed, and detail oriented in every aspect of the organization. The education partnership is a fantastic organization. They are one of the few organizations that help students attending high poverty schools and support teachers who are working in high poverty schools. Not only does this outstanding organization provides basic school supplies for students, but they also donate materials to allow schools to provide opportunities to students that might not otherwise be available. Through the Education Partnerships' dedication and hard work, it is evident that they are wholeheartedly dedicated to ensuring equity for all children.

The Education Partnership provides students and teachers with something that is priceless...opportunity. It provides teachers with supplies, bookbags, clothing, jackets, furniture, and electronics. Currently, it seems that budgets are constantly shrinking. Less and less is provided to create a rich learning environment for students. To make up for this, teachers often spend their own money. The Education Partnership provides teachers with the opportunity to fill the gap.

Teachers are able to shop at The Education Partnership Resource Center for free supplies, as well as request wish list items. These supplies and requests provide opportunities for the students. Each student is able to have the supplies they need regardless of economic status. The supplies remove the barriers that prevent students from completing homework and projects. Students have the opportunity to feel equal with their peers. This in turn affects self-esteem, confidence, and attendance. The opportunities provided by The Education Partnership are endless.

Beyond the items and supplies, the organization is outstanding because of the employees and volunteers. I have never met a more dedicated, kindhearted, energetic, hardworking group of people. They share in our triumphs and assist in our challenges. They are warriors fighting for the teachers and students of public education.

The Education Partnership provides us with school supplies for our students twice a year. They go above and beyond to connect us with other resources like furniture (we got some to furnish the teachers' lounge and classrooms), technology (some student families were able to pick up some technology during the pandemic) and even write grants for our students to receive more school and health and hygiene supplies. The people there are always willing to support us in any way they can. This is a wonderful and responsive organization!

The Education Partnership is an amazing foundation that enables my students to have the supplies they need to succeed in their school career. I work for a Head start program. The children we service are low income and don't have many of the necessities that are needed to succeed. Through the Education Partnership, we have been able to supply the students with basic necessities like pencils, paper, glue, and scissors. These basic needs are taken for granted by many, but are unattainable for a lot of my students. It is hard to learn without these basic needs. The Education Partnership continues to donate these basic needs as well as other supplies that help enhance my student's learning. Without the Education Partnership and their donations, my students would not be able to have the success that enables them to be prepared and ready to start Kindergarten. With such a sturdy foundation, they are able to enter Kindergarten prepared and ready to succeed. The Education Partnership is an amazing foundation that helps give our students a fighting chance to start school in a successful way and then ultimately become successful adults.

The Education Partnership has been an extremely valuable asset to our school district. Over the last few years, their continued support for students and staff has been tremendous. Having worked in many school districts throughout Western Pennsylvania, I only wish everyone had the opportunity to have a resource such as EP. Their relationships with our staff have enabled them to provide needed supplies, equipment, and materials to our students. They are genuinely a student-centered organization that ensures schools are supported at all times.

With the Covid pandemic, we weren't sure how we were going to provide supplies to our students for virtual learning. Our kids don't have school supplies at home (and can't afford them) and our district has a limited budget. The Education Partnership saved the day! They provided our kids with notebooks, markers, pencils and other school supplies to help with their virtual learning! So when these supplies were given to us, we were so excited! We are so thankful to be a part of this wonderful group!

The Education Partnership offers a wonderful opportunity for staff to shop for free school supplies. There are two sections when shopping. The first section offers limited quantities on folders, tablets, pens, pencils, erasers, scissors, crayons, markers, etc. The second section selection varies every time you shop from hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes, spray cleaner, backpacks, books, mailing/legal envelops, decorative signs, desktop monitors, etc. Our music teacher was able to even get instruments for students. It is an amazing opportunity.

The Education Partnership is an amazing resource for our Title I school! Students feel more confident and ready to learn when they have everything that need. TEP helps us ensure that they do.

The Education Partnership has provided me and my students so many tools for my classroom. Our staff might be small, but we are mighty undertaking such a great challenge to help local schools to succeed. We are able to accomplish our mission by the help of wonderful volunteers and donors. The Education Partnership Is amazing! I’ve done work with them with 100.7 Star Bubba Show at Audacy radio. My late fathers 501c3 has donated to TEP. Both of my parents were teachers. The utmost respect for educators is my world. That’s why TEP is so important in our communities. What they provide cannot be duplicated.

As a former educator, I realize the importance of teachers/ schools having an abundance of supplies. Far too many times teachers use their own resources to purchase necessary items for their classrooms, but The Education Partnership eliminates the need for them to do so. My late husband's non -profit has donated to them, and I have also donated to them personally. I am elated that this Partnership exists, and I will certainly continue to support them.

The Education Partnership (TEP) provides an amazing service for schools that are underfunded and need help. TEP helps teachers and students get what they need to maintain a high quality of education in our schools. I have had the opportunity to volunteer and help organize the Resource Center where teachers can pick up the supplies they need. TEP's Resource Center constantly receives new and different supplies. It is rewarding to see the teachers get what they need to help the students. I have also helped to put together packages that send supplies directly to students at the schools. It's great know that TEP is helping so many students. What a great place!

TEP is such a crucial piece of the puzzle for so many under-served schools, their students, and in big, big way, their teachers. Putting an emphasis on supporting teachers right now is so critical to ensuring that those people who are responsible for fostering in the next generation arent dissuaded in their careers because of how society has, and continues to, undervalue the role they play in society.

Its amazing to know that an organization like TEP exists to support our region specifically, and I'm always impressed with their dedication and kindness of the staff and volunteers!

This year we wanted to give back to the community, as we have had many positive things happen in our lives. When choosing which non-profit we would donate to, TEP rose to the top of our list. The children of our country are our future. They will make the world a better place, but in order for that to happen, they must receive the foundation of a good education. To enable that foundation to be established, the schools must have the tools necessary to lay the foundation. TEP provides those tools to the teachers and students of our community. We were happy to make a contribution to TEP and encourage others to do the same. The children ARE our future and we need to do all we can to help them get the best education possible. The Education Partnership works diligently to get students the supplies they need. Throughout COVID, they worked to provide cleaning materials and PPE to schools to help students and teachers keep safe in their classrooms. With their small staff and financial budget, they are able to give so much back to schools in need. This is truly a great nonprofit!

TEP has impacted my life in two different ways. From 2015-2016 while I was teaching, I was able to come to TEP and "shop" for school supplies for my classroom. This was a miracle. As many folks know, many school districts struggle to provide even the basics to their students. Because TEP was able to take care of the basics, I could divert some of my personal funds to more elaborate science materials for my classroom. Now, fast forward to 2022, I find myself managing the same program I once participated in. I very much look forward to serving our community, and feel supported by the caring and mission driven staff here at TEP.

I volunteer often at The Education Partnership. I have counted supplies, wrapped pallets of product, painted radiators, help teachers check-out during distribution dates, checked-in guests for events, handed out school kits during school distributions, organize files….

When I am going to volunteer, it puts a smile on my face. This is an awesome organization that puts their heart and soul into the mission.

The best rewards for me has been reading the student thank-you notes (some get me teary-eyed) and meeting teachers on distribution dates. Watch the videos….

Educating our youth is a top priority and every child deserves the chance for success.

I have been hearing about the unfolding of this organization for several years. The vision of a few ppl to help the teachers of our city and therefore help the children of our city has been a wonderful journey to watch. The doors are to officially open next week and finally start offering this gift to our teachers who on a daily basis give many gifts to their students. Today I volunteered. While I was there, there were many different ppl with many different backgrounds, all with a common goal.... to help this organization help others. What a wonderful way to come together as a community, to help our community!
