I first came to the UCSPCA in 2013 to look at some adoptable cats. I was so impressed by the animals and people I met there that 6 years later, I'm still there as a volunteer. This shelter provides the best possible care to the animals of this county that need help, and then makes every effort to find the best possible homes for them. And with no funding from the county or the ASPCA, they have taken in 1000 animals this year as of Oct. 2019 and found homes for 750, all with private donations, a small dedicated staff, and many volunteers who treasure their time there.
