I noticed something had been eating mangos that fell to the ground from the mango tree in my backyard. After further inspection I found a wild parrot that could not fly on the ground. Right away on a Saturday morning I called Rickies Parrot Rescue. Sahara answered and within 30mins of my call she was in my backyard. She was able to safely get the bird and give him a quick look over. She then educated myself and my children about these wild Nayday Parrots. Sahara let my kids name the parrot, they choose Piper. Piper was vetted and x-rayed immediately to find he had an old break in his wing that could not be repaired. Piper was sent to live in a beautiful aviary with other wild parrots like him. Sahara kept us updated about Piper, her dedication to the birds is unmatched. Thank you Rickies Parrot Rescue for all you do.

Due to our children having allergies to mice we had to rehome our 2 female pet mice. I messaged Josephine's Rattery and Rescue and they messaged me back right away and scheduled a pet surrender for me immediately. I brought my mice to the rescue and the volenteer who greeted me was very understanding, knowledgeable and supportive. Never once was I made to feel bad or shamed for having to surrender my pet mice. I was given a tour of the rescue, met a few of the small animal and even held a rat for the first time. Although there were many small pets there was no animal odor and everything was very clean and organized. I would recommend anyone to Josephine's Rattery and Rescue if you are looking to either surrender and or adopt a pet from a caring and kind rescue. Josephine's rocks!❤������������
