Review for CAMELOT FOR CHILDREN, Allentown, PA, USA
Camelot for children is a unique and marvelous place,
It exists to provide children with disabilities with an environment to be themeselves and also grow. The Camelot team and board has one basic goal which is to provide an ideal environment for kids with challenges allowing them to make connections, excel, and develop life skills. Camelot is staffed by many incredible local teens, from various high schools, who serve as buddies. In this role they pair up with the kids to work with them, share in activities, but also to become their friends. These students also have the opportunity to serve on the Camelot Junior board and determine the future direction of the organization which is quite unique and allows the activities and Camelot curriculum to be dynamic and always improving.
My daughter Caroline has been a Camelot Kid for nearly 8 years and it is, without question, her favorite place in the world. She attends nearly all scheduled activities and also has been a regular participant in the Camelot Camp which spans 6 weeks during the Summer. The camp includes activities at Camelot but also trips to throughout the Lehigh Valley to other organizations committed to enriching the lives of the children. As Caroline has become older she has been able to play more of a counselor-type role for some of the younger campers. She has made too many friends to mention at Camelot. The organization has provided her with hours of enjoyment and and also a true sense of self-worth. As a parent I am grateful that Camelot has been part of our community.
Please consider donating to Camelot for Children. This is truly and incredible organization deserving of your support!
