Review for Rosemary Farm Sanctuary Inc., South Kortright, NY, USA
I visited RFS a few years ago and stayed in the guest house for 2 nights. Dawn gave us a tour of the farm and I fell in love with Iron. We saw him in his stall and then We got to see him again while sitting on the porch watching the bonfire. He came right up looking for a pat. His name suits him as his face is both strong and gentle.
Early the next morning we got to see Dawn greet 2 horses who were rescued from Texas. These horses had traveled a long way. No one really knew what to expect when they came off the trailer. Soon the door opened, and 2 Texas beauties looked out. Dawn went up to them and gently took their lead ropes, looked up to then and said “Welcome to Rosemary Farm Sanctuary “. Both walked with her over to graze a bit. I think they knew they had both landed in heaven.

This past summer I stayed in the guest house at Rosemary Farm for 2 nights. It was a magical experience for me to wake up in the morning and see a herd of horses from my window. To watch the interactions and communication within the herd was something I never thought I would experience. And to think that each one had a hard, sad story through no fault of their own A very special treat was to watch 2 rescue horses come in from Texas. I watched as Dawn walked up to the truck, clipped on a lead rope, looked into those sad anxious eyes and gently said “welcome to Rosemary Farm. These horses are now living happily and being cared for with all their needs met. Thank you Rosemary Farm Sanctuary for all that you do.
