Review for Sahaita Inc., Fremont, CA, USA
I have seen Sahaita grow since its inception in 2005. We call ourselves the helping hand because we seek out people who are in need and connect them with people who want to give back. Whether it be health related, education related, or humanitarian relief, Sahaita brings people together from all walks of life. We pride ourselves on being 100% volunteer run, and constantly pushing to put 100% of funds towards our projects. Over the years, we have gained a strong board of experienced community members who have implemented processes that you would find in businesses - CRM implementation to manage funds/projects/beneficiaries/donors, project request processes, funding requests from our partner organizations in other countries, periodic check-ins on the budget, and more. Furthermore, our always-ready working committee brings Sahaita's visions to fruition. My particular connection with Sahaita is its efforts with orphanages, especially those that cater to less-abled children. I have personally visited villages in India where distraught families are relieved by Sahaita's aid. I have personally played with babies who were abandoned shortly after birth, and whose futures are made possible by Sahaita's efforts. I have personally met the students in CA who benefited from our scholarships. I have personally visited teachers and students affected by the recent fires in CA, who can start the new school year with a little boost from Sahaita. The list goes on. Sahaita leaves real impact and I am beyond humbled to use this as a vessel of my own "Seva", or selfless service.
