I met Dr Sandhu first time in 2008 in Gurudwara running around for a Fundraiser and I asked him, what is the Organization he was working so hard for , that is when I came to know of Sahaita. I fell in love with the motto of the Organization. Sahaita is a non-profit organization committed to educating , supporting and uplifting underprivileged members of Society , they are a volunteer run organization with 100% of donated funds going to their projects, and since then I have committed myself to this organization for the last 10-12 years financially and physically. I takes photographs in all the five functions organized by them throughout the year( Lodi function , Elk grove , Fremont picnic , Fresno and Pleasanton) , I am so committed to this event that , be it my anniversary in Jan ( Lodi function )or my wife’s bday ( June ) I am at the event( Of course with my spouse’s permission ) .There is only one other organization which is as committed as Sahaita , which I have come across in my life time ( Doctors without borders) which I happen to meet during my trip to serve in Haiti to help earthquake survivors of 2010.
I see that every volunteer of this organization is 100% committed to the cause, they put their heart, mind and soul into this and serve unconditionally. Thank you, Dr. Sandhu/Sarup Jhajj , for letting me serve in Sahaita.

My wife and I have been connected with Sahaita for about 8 years and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We continue to donate because we know that almost 100% of our donation goes towards projects we care about - education, healthcare and farm labor support. This is a volunteer run organization. There is nothing glamour about this non-profit which means every person connected to it is down to earth and contribute their time, energy and money because they truly care about the goals and mission of this organization. We highly recommend people to check out their website and social media to learn more about Sahaita and to get involved.

I feel honored to be associated with this Great Non Profit organization, my association with Sahaita goes back to 2006. Since then it has grown many folds due their transparency , helping all humans irrespective of their cast ,religion or race .Another positive aspect is active role played by young volunteers. Sahaita has provided a great platform to youngsters who channelize their positive energy , through volunteer work and leadership assignments.
All team members and board members are working as volunteers , devoting their precious time for mankind and helping needy which is really commendable.

I have been involved with Sahaita  for the last 10 years.  I came across this organization when I attended one of their annual fundraising events in Pleasanton. I was so impressed by Dr.  Sandhu's presentation where he talked about the achievements and goals of Sahaita. I  wanted to be a part of an organization like this to give back to my community and continue to support the inspiring message of Sahaita. Sahaita has been involved in various events such as eye camps, health camp, education, orphanage house, farmers project and feed the needy events here in the Bay area and Central Valley.
Sahaita is my second family and everone who is involved with this organization is definitely doing selfless Seva. I am so glad to be part of something that is bigger than myself where I can continue to help people everyday.

Ever since I met my wife 6 years ago I have been part of Sahaita. I have attended numerous fundraising events. Sahaita is a transparent non profit organization, I am always aware of their current and future projects all the time. I personally have volunteered with them and seen the dedication and drive they have to support anyone in need. Just recently during this pandemic I saw how driven they were to provide N95 masks and other PPE supplies to healthcare workers and others. I’m proud to be involved in such a dedicated non profit organization.

After hearing so much about this wonderful organization I couldn’t help but reach out to them. It has been the longest desire to help young children with their education back home in punjab. I am glad to have found an amazing non profit organization that is true and able to help with making my desire come true. I hope to continue this work with Sahaita and also spread the word to my inner circle to help this non profit spread its wings further.

Being apart of Sahaita as a volunteer has been an amazing experience. I have been a volunteer for over 4 years now and each year watching Sahaita grow more by helping those in needs. From attending the annual fundraisers and volunteering at the homeless shelters, Sahaita has taught me so much and truly is an organization that is always looking at different ways on how they can grow to help those in need and increasing their goals each year.

My children and I volunteered with this nonprofit organization at St Mary’s Dining Room. The other members from this organization were very friendly and helpful. It was very clear to me that they genuinely enjoy helping others and they are grateful to all the volunteers who make time to help. Even during this pandemic, this organization is doing its best to help others. They are distributing masks, hand sanitizers, and other necessities to people in need. This is an amazing nonprofit organization and I enjoy being part of it.

For the past 4 years, Sahaita has been a tremendous supporter in St. Mary's Dining Room's mission to serve 3 hot meals each day to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty in the community. Sahaita has generously sponsored many delicious meals for our guests. In addition, they volunteered regularly to help our small team in serving the meals directly to the guests we serve. Sahaita takes the time to help and ask what our kitchen needs are, to search and purchase these essential items throughout the year – including during COVID-19.
St. Mary’s Dining Room’s mission to feed the hungry, care for health issues and restore human dignity would not be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers/donors, like Sahaita. We are grateful for their outstanding support and belief in our mission!

Sahaita is a one of the best non-profit organization known to many . They are committed to educating, supporting and uplifting the underprivileged members of society. Sahaita accomplish this through healthcare initiatives, education sponsorships, vocational training and affiliated partner non-profit organizations. They are a volunteer run organization with 100% of donated funds going to the projects.
I have known the great work done by this org for many many years now. My recent experience with them came during the early days of the Covid-19. They approached people offering critical stuff including food and PPE supplies for the critical workers. I had no place to gets my hands on N95 masks. Sahaita volunteers had published their hotline for the needy, with just one call I was provided with the masks. They have served the communities everywhere they could reach. God bless the volunteers doings selfless service/seva.

Sahaita has been a part of my life since I was about 10 years old. I feel incredibly honored that I've gotten to work with so many generous people over the years and have gotten to learn so much about helping those in need. Sahaita is a great nonprofit for youth to be a part of since they get an opportunity to learn how they can help the needy in their own communities and around the world.

My name is Margie Hensley and I am the General Manager for a non-profit in Northern California called, The Hope Center.
We have been serving our community for over 15 years and have recently been a distribution and donation hub for the November 2018 Camp Fire.
We were supported in the beginning by Sahaita with much needed donations and just recently almost a year later have been blessed by their hard work and generosity with another donation of generators, food and supplies that are a continual need for our survivors.
The love they have for people is very genuine. Thank you!

I am a teacher in Paradise, CA. I helped students evacuate on the frightening day of the Camp Fire. Many teachers lost their classrooms and homes to the fire. All of my students lost their homes. Our school was sent to a temporary location until the summer and then we were moved back up to Paradise. Sahaita’s generosity helped us to convert an old intermediate school into a wonderful elementary school! I was so moved when supplies, curriculum, and classroom decor started to arrive! Representatives of this wonderful charity drove all the way to Paradise to check on us. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done to help us create a healing environment for our students as they move forward after this tragedy.

It was wonderful having the volunteers from Sahaita in visit our school in Paradise, CA today! This kind group of humanitarians donated brand new books for our library. When I told them how absolutely grateful we have been for the kindness of complete strangers to those in need in our area, they answered, “Oh, we are not strangers, we are all humans, and we all need help sometimes.” ❤️❤️

I have seen Sahaita grow since its inception in 2005. We call ourselves the helping hand because we seek out people who are in need and connect them with people who want to give back. Whether it be health related, education related, or humanitarian relief, Sahaita brings people together from all walks of life. We pride ourselves on being 100% volunteer run, and constantly pushing to put 100% of funds towards our projects. Over the years, we have gained a strong board of experienced community members who have implemented processes that you would find in businesses - CRM implementation to manage funds/projects/beneficiaries/donors, project request processes, funding requests from our partner organizations in other countries, periodic check-ins on the budget, and more. Furthermore, our always-ready working committee brings Sahaita's visions to fruition. My particular connection with Sahaita is its efforts with orphanages, especially those that cater to less-abled children. I have personally visited villages in India where distraught families are relieved by Sahaita's aid. I have personally played with babies who were abandoned shortly after birth, and whose futures are made possible by Sahaita's efforts. I have personally met the students in CA who benefited from our scholarships. I have personally visited teachers and students affected by the recent fires in CA, who can start the new school year with a little boost from Sahaita. The list goes on. Sahaita leaves real impact and I am beyond humbled to use this as a vessel of my own "Seva", or selfless service.

Sahaita is one of the rare non-profit organizations which is true to it’s core. It’s mission is to provide education for needy children and serve the under privileged in the community. Sahaita achieves 100% of it’s objective through volunteers. There is no paid staff and every single penny is spent on the humanitarian causes and for the projects which are fully vetted by the board and the founders. Being part of such an organization is not only satisfying but it gives a meaning and purpose to oneself. It’s one of the best means to give back to the community, to the under privileged and to our future generations, to our children.

Be part of the change, make an impact to someone in need, feel the satisfaction and the joy of being human. Be part of Sahaita.

Sahaita does an extremely well job at being transparent with how our donation help the needy. I have attended numerous fundraising events in which all board memeber are present and available to answer our questions. They help encourage our youth to participate in any and all activities Sahaita parttakes in. From feeding the homeless to helping the unfortunate overseas. I myself volunteer at as many events as I can and definitely feel part of the Sahaita family.

Sahaita is an organization that is focused on children and healthcare.
My involvement with Sahaita has been one of the most fulfilling experience of my life. I have met some of the most humble and selfless individuals during this journey with Sahaita. Very rarely we come across an organization that optimizes every $ that is donated and spends the money with utmost care.

My husband and I attended our first Sahaita fundraiser about 5 years ago and got to learn the many projects they fund. We fell in love with the simplicity of their organization; mission and vision and most importantly the fact that every dollar they raise goes directly to the education, health and farmer projects. We have been connected with them as volunteers ever since.

Helps those genuinely in need - abandoned infant girls, orphaned toddlers, families affected by farmer suicides, poor new moms coming out of county hospitals without clothes for their newborn.... list goes on.. WITH ZERO OVERHEAD! I.e. all donations go to the needy.
