Sahaita has been a part of my life since I was about 10 years old. I feel incredibly honored that I've gotten to work with so many generous people over the years and have gotten to learn so much about helping those in need. Sahaita is a great nonprofit for youth to be a part of since they get an opportunity to learn how they can help the needy in their own communities and around the world.

My name is Margie Hensley and I am the General Manager for a non-profit in Northern California called, The Hope Center.
We have been serving our community for over 15 years and have recently been a distribution and donation hub for the November 2018 Camp Fire.
We were supported in the beginning by Sahaita with much needed donations and just recently almost a year later have been blessed by their hard work and generosity with another donation of generators, food and supplies that are a continual need for our survivors.
The love they have for people is very genuine. Thank you!

I am a teacher in Paradise, CA. I helped students evacuate on the frightening day of the Camp Fire. Many teachers lost their classrooms and homes to the fire. All of my students lost their homes. Our school was sent to a temporary location until the summer and then we were moved back up to Paradise. Sahaita’s generosity helped us to convert an old intermediate school into a wonderful elementary school! I was so moved when supplies, curriculum, and classroom decor started to arrive! Representatives of this wonderful charity drove all the way to Paradise to check on us. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done to help us create a healing environment for our students as they move forward after this tragedy.

It was wonderful having the volunteers from Sahaita in visit our school in Paradise, CA today! This kind group of humanitarians donated brand new books for our library. When I told them how absolutely grateful we have been for the kindness of complete strangers to those in need in our area, they answered, “Oh, we are not strangers, we are all humans, and we all need help sometimes.” ❤️❤️

I have seen Sahaita grow since its inception in 2005. We call ourselves the helping hand because we seek out people who are in need and connect them with people who want to give back. Whether it be health related, education related, or humanitarian relief, Sahaita brings people together from all walks of life. We pride ourselves on being 100% volunteer run, and constantly pushing to put 100% of funds towards our projects. Over the years, we have gained a strong board of experienced community members who have implemented processes that you would find in businesses - CRM implementation to manage funds/projects/beneficiaries/donors, project request processes, funding requests from our partner organizations in other countries, periodic check-ins on the budget, and more. Furthermore, our always-ready working committee brings Sahaita's visions to fruition. My particular connection with Sahaita is its efforts with orphanages, especially those that cater to less-abled children. I have personally visited villages in India where distraught families are relieved by Sahaita's aid. I have personally played with babies who were abandoned shortly after birth, and whose futures are made possible by Sahaita's efforts. I have personally met the students in CA who benefited from our scholarships. I have personally visited teachers and students affected by the recent fires in CA, who can start the new school year with a little boost from Sahaita. The list goes on. Sahaita leaves real impact and I am beyond humbled to use this as a vessel of my own "Seva", or selfless service.

Sahaita is one of the rare non-profit organizations which is true to it’s core. It’s mission is to provide education for needy children and serve the under privileged in the community. Sahaita achieves 100% of it’s objective through volunteers. There is no paid staff and every single penny is spent on the humanitarian causes and for the projects which are fully vetted by the board and the founders. Being part of such an organization is not only satisfying but it gives a meaning and purpose to oneself. It’s one of the best means to give back to the community, to the under privileged and to our future generations, to our children.

Be part of the change, make an impact to someone in need, feel the satisfaction and the joy of being human. Be part of Sahaita.

Sahaita does an extremely well job at being transparent with how our donation help the needy. I have attended numerous fundraising events in which all board memeber are present and available to answer our questions. They help encourage our youth to participate in any and all activities Sahaita parttakes in. From feeding the homeless to helping the unfortunate overseas. I myself volunteer at as many events as I can and definitely feel part of the Sahaita family.

Being apart of Sahaita as a volunteer has been an amazing experience. I have been a volunteer for over 4 years now and each year watching Sahaita grow more by helping those in needs. From attending the annual fundraisers and volunteering at the homeless shelters, Sahaita has taught me so much and truly is an organization that is always looking at different ways on how they can grow to help those in need and increasing their goals each year.

Sahaita is an organization that is focused on children and healthcare.
My involvement with Sahaita has been one of the most fulfilling experience of my life. I have met some of the most humble and selfless individuals during this journey with Sahaita. Very rarely we come across an organization that optimizes every $ that is donated and spends the money with utmost care.

My husband and I attended our first Sahaita fundraiser about 5 years ago and got to learn the many projects they fund. We fell in love with the simplicity of their organization; mission and vision and most importantly the fact that every dollar they raise goes directly to the education, health and farmer projects. We have been connected with them as volunteers ever since.

Helps those genuinely in need - abandoned infant girls, orphaned toddlers, families affected by farmer suicides, poor new moms coming out of county hospitals without clothes for their newborn.... list goes on.. WITH ZERO OVERHEAD! I.e. all donations go to the needy.
