I have been familiar with IDES for many years. I have found them to be a completely reliable and capable resource in times of trouble--whether the trouble is a sudden-onset disaster, such as a tornado or hurricane, or an ongoing problem such as hunger in undeveloped countries. I have been a supporter for many years because I believe in the work they do. I especially like the way they work through local people in times of disaster so that when the disaster-response team leaves, there is still someone to follow up with people who were affected by the event. I have also been privileged to be on site in Colombia where IDES provided assistance in the drilling of a well for fresh drinking water. What a blessing to the people in that community! I love the work of IDES and am a regular contributor.
