I met a woman and her two middle school daughters during an Operation School Bell shopping event. It was her first time being served. She is recently divorced and far away from her family in India. She works two jobs to support her family. She had tears in her eyes when she told me how grateful she was for the generosity of the Assistance League of the Eastside and the amazing women who make it all possible.
