I am currently a member of Assistance League - I officially joined about 6 years ago. Prior to that I volunteered as a community volunteer for the Operation School Bell Program and decided after retiring from my job, to join as an official member. I continue to be impressed with all of the support and hard work of this organization and I'm always proud to share with others in the community that I am a member of Assistance League as I share all about all of the activities that is in support of needs of children and adults living in our communities.

I am currently a volunteer for Assistance League of the Eastside; however, prior to joining almost 5 years ago, I was a community volunteer for their Operation School Bell Program. I was happy to be part of a program that brought so much joy and smiles to the faces of many students. Therefore, I decided to become an active members and support their fundraising efforts and their support of serving children and adults challenged by hardship or violence within our communities. It give me lots of joy to be part of this wonderful organization.

I attended a local meeting recently and met an individual who has been supported twice by Assistance League of the Eastside. Additionally, I have known a family for almost 17 years and beginning last year her daughters who are students at an Eastside elementary school have received back to school clothing as participants in the Operation School Bell Program. In both of these cases, the individual and the mother of the students were absolutely excited and thankful for the support that this organization has given them. It makes it worth all of the time the volunteers spend with fundraising and volunteering within our eastside community.
