Opportunity House is a much needed and utilized resource in Vacaville, California. As a homeless shelter alongside a work to housing program, it is a vital stepping stone to self sufficiency for those who's lives have encountered stumbling blocks and instability.
Case Managers work with residents to help them achieve goals, stay on track, be future focused and empower themselves for a brighter tomorrow.
Through program requirements such as budgeting, community service, housing searches and household chores, accountability is key & residents are given the tools they need to successfully manage their time, involve themselves with their community and grow as individuals.
I have worked at Opportunity House as an Operations Assistant for 10 months, and have grown as an individual because of it!
