I have been volunteering with Animal Place since spring of this year and to say my life has completely changed for the better would be an understatement. What an incredibly healing place with the kindest, most compassionate and dedicated staff and animal caregivers. The animals here had no chance, are on the bottom of the food chain (literally and figuratively) and have found rescue and respite to live out their important lives in peace and kindness. Animal Place is such a healing balance in such a negative, violent and selfish world. Being a volunteer here has made me a better person, and seeing people’s hearts change towards farmed animals after visiting here and interacting and making a vital connection with another sentient being is truly the medicine we so desperately need in our society. I highly recommend Animal Place!
