My husband and I first became patrons of Animal Place in 2014. We attended the annual Thank the Turkeys event as new vegans, and I mean 2 week baby vegans. We didn't know much about farm sanctuaries and the incredible work they did but what we experienced that day was life changing. We have been going back to Animal Place every year for the Thank the Turkeys event and have brought our daughter, and will be bringing our newest daughter this year. This event is a highlight of our entire year. The ability to commune with like minded people, see the animals up close, show them love, share in a delicious vegan ThanksLIVING meal, and hear about the incredible work Animal Place is doing for these animals is an incredibly spiritual and soulful experience. It is the event where I am reminded "this is why I am vegan." Animal Place has changed me and the way I approach veganism. I will forever be grateful to Animal Place and will keep coming as long as they will have us :)
