I've been donating to Feral Cat Spay-Neuter Project for several years now. My favorite thing is that their efforts go right to the root of the problem and fix it! We can never build enough shelters to care for the numbers of unwanted cats, but spaying/neutering FOR FREE prevents the problem in the first place, not to mention preventing the suffering that goes along with unrestricted breeding of more and more unwanted cats. I was once lucky enough to have a tour of the facility on a surgery day and I was extremely impressed with the entire process, from intake, to preparation, to surgery, to aftercare. These people really have it down to a science. And they all love cats and treat each one as the valuable little souls that they are. This is really an excellent group of people who are providing a very valuable service.

I've been supporting Wild Love for several years now. I am so impressed with how Andrea Maki has focused on collaboration and getting disparate groups to work together. This model of cooperation is solving a difficult problem and protecting both the horses and the environment. What a great project, and truly a model not only for other nonprofits, but also for society in general.
