Mission: Our mission is to save the lives of homeless cats by providing access to high volume spay/neuter surgery in a safe and humane environment, collaborating with others and mentoring like-minded organizations to increase spay/neuter in their regions. The feral cat spay/neuter project has altered over 100,000 cats since our inception in 1997. We are the first free standing clinic that is dedicated to providing free spay/neuter surgery for free-roaming cats in a safe, high quality, humane environment. Cats from over 23 counties throughout washington state have been brought to our clinic to be altered.

I've been donating to Feral Cat Spay-Neuter Project for several years now. My favorite thing is that their efforts go right to the root of the problem and fix it! We can never build enough shelters to care for the numbers of unwanted cats, but spaying/neutering FOR FREE prevents the problem in the first place, not to mention preventing the suffering that goes along with unrestricted breeding of more and more unwanted cats. I was once lucky enough to have a tour of the facility on a surgery day and I was extremely impressed with the entire process, from intake, to preparation, to surgery, to aftercare. These people really have it down to a science. And they all love cats and treat each one as the valuable little souls that they are. This is really an excellent group of people who are providing a very valuable service.

As a volunteer for over 18 years with this wonderful non-profit I can definitely say our non-profit has done a LOT to help our communities. We have improved so many un-owned community cats health and lives. We have always been a small group doing BIG things and continually strive to that and our mission. We are doing something about overpopulation control and are very proud of our accomplishments. This past year we have spent a lot of time mentoring others in the state to start their own high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter projects and it gives me such satisfaction to know we are helping others as well to increase the amount of kitties in need get the help. If you have time to volunteer with this group, do so....it will do your heart good!

The Pacific Northwest is the envy of cat rescue groups all over the country because of the work of the FCSNP! Cat rescuers who spend their free time and money to trap, neuter and return free roaming cats to their colony sites have often received little help from many organizations, but the FCNSP provides free spay/neuter and rabies vaccinations to all ear tipped cats. This is a tremendous help for the rescuers and a life-saving effort for the cats. I can't say enough good things about this organization, it is truly unique and very much appreciated.
