I first attended an AMTA workshop as a first-year physics teacher. Having 0 experience in physics, I attended to develop my own content knowledge in physics so I could provide quality education for my students. This workshop far exceeded my expectations and not only did I learn physics, I learned how to be a teacher. I so believe in the AMTA and Modeling Instruction that I started a PhD so I could provide even more data and evidence to support this pedagogical practice across content areas. I highly recommend Modeling Instruction workshops for all STEM teachers,
