Review for Knights of Heroes Foundation - Rocky Mountain Ascent, Colorado Springs, CO, USA
Three of my four children have now attended this incredible camp. Knights of Heroes has been a powerful influence in their lives since the death of their father. I could tell a hundred stories about the amazing people that have loved on my kids, the experiences they’ve had, and the lessons they’ve learned.
My oldest son is at an age where a young man really needs his Dad. I am so thankful for the ways KOH has stepped into that gap for him and has given him something he truly loves and looks forward to. This summer was my younger daughters first time as a camper. When I picked her up she told me that she loved the week because it felt so good to be around other kids that understood her. Knights of Heroes has been instrumental in helping our family navigate moving forward in life with our grief, while connecting with other families going through our same circumstances.
It is an unbelievable blessing to be able to send my children at no cost because of the generous individuals and companies funding Knights of Heroes. That gift is not taken for granted. I love that the kids take time during their week at camp to write thank you notes to everyone involved as well as participate in a service project to give back to the camp.
The kids going through this program are grateful and compassionate and become mentors themselves after learning the importance of serving others.
Knights of Heroes is a unique and special place doing incredible work in families’ lives. We are so thankful!
