I will ALWAYS remember the day my friend Gary took me to a POZ Life workshop. It was one of the most healing, connected, transformative, loving, gracious, awe-inspiring experiences/ memories I have had, or will ever have. Sunnie Rose Berger is an angel to so many, and I admire her greatly. I have no doubt that Sunnie works day and night to continue her work for God's children. I remember when the facilitator asked me to speak that day. I said that gay men treat me better than straight men ever did, and they make me feel fabulous. At the end of the event, someone helped Moses up off the floor. I walked up to him to shake his hand. Moses looked right into my soul with his piercing eyes, lively and full of light. Then he said to me, "You ARE fabulous." Every time I recall that moment, my ego gets a little boost in the right direction. I can only imagine all the saints up in Heaven (including Moses) who talk to God every day about giving Sunnie and her team the wisdom, direction, stamina, and strength to do her perfect work, and to outfit all her warriors (such as Gary) to actively support her in this wonderful, beautiful cause. I hope that next time I'm in LA, there will be a POZ Life event for me to attend. Much love and light to Sunnie and Gary!
