My father was an amputee due to a childhood accident. He worked his way through college and law school and went on to be a successful attorney during a time before ADA or other support for physically challenged Americans. He didn’t often discuss his medical challenge but I remember a few stories about his being a child with an ill fitting prosthesis due to normal childhood growth patterns and how that limited his life. Happy to support this organization that makes sure other children dealing with childhood accidents or medical challenges do not have to deal with those limitations. I know from my Dad that you simply work to overcome your challenges but happy that some children with have that a tiny bit easier with proper fitting prosthesis and special prosthesis for their favorite activities.
