The Jordan Thomas Foundation has changed my daughter's life forever! We have been truly blessed by the generosity of its donars and the volunteers! Our daughter, Halle, was born with a congenital heart defect, and spent her first 8 months of life in the cardiac ICU. She had 3 open heart surgeries while inpatient, and at 5 months old required a right leg through-the-knee amputation due to complications during a 27 minute code. Aside from joining the heart family world, here we were being thrown into the amputee world. We knew nothing! The first 3 years out of the hospital, we just did what we were told. Halle was doing fine, she crawled, walked with a walker, and eventually was walking unassisted! We we're thrilled! But something was missing, and we knew we couldn't afford a new prosthesis for our girl at the rate she was growing. I did some research, and reached out on FB to POA (Prosthetic and Orthotic Associates in Orlando). They directed me to the Jordan Thomas Foundation, and we applied right away! Halle was chosen to become part of their family, and the rest is history! She is running, jumping, flipping... doing everything a 4 year old loves to do! She is fearless and determined! Her new leg has changed her life! 'Thank you' just doesn't seem like enough to show how much we love this foundation! Thank you Jordan and your family for blessing all of the JTF families!
The Jordan Thomas Foundation has changed my little girls life as well as our family. We are beyond grateful for everything they do and biggest of all of course was giving our girl her first running blade. The confidence she is gaining has been incredible. All the adventures we have planned and camps that we can now attend with the help of the JTF family have us looking forward to everything to come on this journey!
JTF has provided my daughter (now 16 years old) with nearly 10 prosthetic legs! She is now able to do EVERYTHING she wants to do including the beach, paddle boards, surfing, kayaking, and more! We could not do this without JTF! Kids grow so quickly and therefore grow out of their prosthetics. They also need different legs for different athletic activities. Emma June doesn’t have to choose which activities to try thanks to JTF. THIS is an organization that can’t be beat!! They are the BEST!

The Jordan Thomas Foundation is an incredible organization that serves the most deserving kids. So many people do not understand the unique challenges these kiddos and their families face and how it is almost impossible for them to get access to the very prosthetic devices they need to be kids, without extreme undue financial burdens. Beyond helping kids get access to the prostheses they need to live healthy, active lives, JTF fosters a strong community among kids and families and truly helps build lifelong relationships for the kids they serve. JTF is changing the lives of so many, and of those who oftentimes need it the most. Seeing these kids thrive and just live the life that every kid deserves it is really what it's all about.
Jordan Thomas Foundation has been a incredible nonprofit to my son and I this past year. We truly love being part of the JTF family. It has been wonderful for me, as his mother, to have people who have been on this limb difference journey before us who are a wealth of knowledge and resources. It has also been amazing to see Jude just be loved on by all the other JTF kids. Knowing that Jude and our family will have this kind of support as he grows is so comforting. It is a relief to know that Jude won't be held back by a lack of resources to allow him to be an active child despite his limb differences. He will get to be a free fun loving (and running) kid!
JTF has literally changed our lives. Through JTF, my daughter now has support and access to care for her limb difference that was never possible for us on our own. They broke down barriers and opened our eyes to the possibilities out there for limb difference. Through JTF, my daughter will now have access to elite care and support for years to come. Our son Louie was born with tibial hemimelia (missing his tibias in both legs) in 2020. We were overwhelmed and unsure of what his future would hold as far as options for mobility and for his health. We heard about Jordan Thomas after our sons double leg amputation that following fall. We had been fortunate to receive great care but had no resources or community. JTF provided us a family and community overnight and opened our eyes to what other options there were for Louie that could provide him a much more full life. He’s been thriving and has improved exponentially in his mobility since JTF entered our world. We have also gained a ton of confidence and better prosthetics for him so that he can play and grow!

We have been a JTF family for a couple of years now. This is a life-changing foundation. Our son had both feet amputated in China when he was three years old. After bringing him home we struggled to find good prosthetics that would enable him to live his best life. We were originally unable to get running legs for him because insurance would not cover them. JTF now helps us get the very best prosthetics, which makes it possible for our highly active 12 year old to ride mountain bikes, run with his running blades, hike in the woods and do all the other things his friends can do. People are blown away when they see how mobile and agile he is with his prosthetics. On top of that JTF is working to make a connection with all of their families that has given us all a place to turn when we need help, advice from another family, or just support from someone who understands our struggles. It has truly been a game changer for our family and we are so grateful to be a JTF family!
We have a 2 year old daughter Chloe who was accepted by the Jordan Thomas Foundation earlier this year. She was born with only a foot attached at the hip and doesn't have a leg on her right side.
She got her first prosthetic in June 2020, but it was very difficult getting insurance to cover the first prosthetic, and they basically told us they wouldn't approve anymore under this policy.
Since our daughter is so young she will need lots of new prosthetics, modifications, and adjustments, and given the overall expense of a prosthetic, this was not a cost that we would have been able to pay out of pocket.
We had heard of the Jordan Thomas Foundation from our local prosthetist, and they have been amazing to work with, and have opened up so many amazing avenues for our daughter that we couldn't have afforded without this charity. The care and passion that this charity has for helping children with prosthetics is truly beautiful and inspiring.
Since they will cover her prosthetics until she is 18, that financial burden has been lifted off of our family, and we are able to explore the best options for our daughter. She now has two prosthetics that have given her the ability to run and jump and be more active than her original prosthetic provided. This was only possible because of the Jordan Thomas Foundation. Because of this amazing charity we can explore so many other prosthetic options to give our daughter the most function from her prosthetic, without the fear that we cant afford it if insurance denied the claim.
Since being accepted by the Jordan Thomas Foundation we have also seen some of the other children that they have helped. Every one of these families stories are so beautiful and the Jordan Thomas Foundation is giving each of these families so much hope, joy, and the opportunity for them to give their child the best possible care.
The Jordan Thomas Foundation has given so much to so many families and we feel so blessed and fortunate to be apart of the JTF Family.
Noah and our family’s life before JTF was sad. We couldn’t plan to do most activities because Noah’s leg might hurt. We always brought crutches, or wheelchair everywhere. Because of JTF, we can have fun as a family doing anything, anywhere. Noah even has a water leg and doesn’t have to crawl on the beach. I still cry every time I see him walk in the water. We have been benefactors of The Jordan Thomas Foundation for many years now. Having adopted two children with physical limb differences, we could only imagine what the care was going to be. JTF gives us the opportunity to not just meet our daughters' needs, but to exceed them . Because of The Jordan Thomas Foundation our girls are able to receive the best care possible, which allows them to feel like anything they want in life is a possibility. We can't thank JTF enough, not just for their financial assistance, but for the care they have provided over these years.
I’m so grateful for all that the Jordan Thomas Foundation has done for my baby girl Kacee. When insurance turned away and we had no where else to go JTF came in and saved the day and we are forever indebted to them. We love you JTF

The Jordan Thomas foundation changed our son's life and therefore changed our entire family's quality of life. Because of their generosity and thoughtfulness in providing multiple prosthetic legs from the very best prosthetic clinic in the world, POA, we can do things as a family that we were never able to do before. The Jordan Thomas Foundation is an amazing organization that is truely serving amputee children in ways that private insurance, Medicaid, and traditional prosthetics organizations are not. Jordan Thomas Foundation showed up for Noah when he needed them and provided the plane tickets, hotel fees, prosthetic specialist payments, and equipment costs for two sets of prosthetics: walking legs and running blades. Not only that, they are committed to continuing to provide these services for Noah until he is 18 years old. Without the Jordan Thomas Foundation, Noah still wouldn't have prosthetics. This week Noah was walking for the first time independently on his new prosthetics, buying his first baseball bat because for the first time in his life he has legs that will empower him to play ball with his peers. He proudly walked up to the cashiers counter, independent for the first time, because of the Jordan Thomas Foundation. Please, please, please add this foundation to the list of amazing organizations doing work that the rest of traditional methods do not achieve.
Our daughter was born with bilateral tibial hemimelia, a 1 in 3 million condition when it affects both legs. She underwent a complicated reconstruction surgery and had a through knee amputation on the other leg. She's always been an incredibly spunky, energetic and active little girl both before and after surgeries. After her surgery she got her prosthetic and had to learn to walk on two legs for the first time ever. At 5 years old she worked so hard. By 6 years old she was back to playing sports. At 7 years old she was on the winning team for softball with her typical peers. But she was disappointed because she knew she wasn't as fast as the other kids on the team. That's where Jordan Thomas Foundation came in and helped her get her first running leg. Now she is all the more confident. They also got her her water legs. She is very short stature and has a hard time swimming because she can't always touch. Having a water leg allowed her to be more independent in the pool, independent climbing inflatable waterslides and indepedent splashing and jumping in the waves at the beach. And most importantly she gained a huge confidence boost because it gives her two legs to run around and people aren't staring at her residual limb and asking where her foot went. They're staring at her cool prosthetic with the emoji design on it!!! Running legs and water legs are not typically approved by insurance and it's huge that Jordan Thomas Foundation gets her those.
They also make it possible for us to get to the world's best prosthetists in Orlando, FL. We tried the prosthetists close to home and they wanted to give her a prosthetic with a strapping system or a pin system, and she is able to run without any of that in her custom fit, custom made prosthetic from the best.
We are so grateful for Jordan Thomas foundation not only for the help they give us in getting the best legs for our daughter to keep her active, but also for the other families that are involved. They are an invaluable resource and it's so comforting to have other families that just get it. This Foundation came into our lives at just the right time and we are so grateful to them. Whether it's snowboarding, cheerleading, swimming, gymnastics, or playing kickball with the boys at recess, our girl does awesome because she has the best, from the best. And we immensely appreciate that!
Our son was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at the age of 5. He had a partial amputation which will require a prosthetic for the rest of his life.
The Jordan Thomas Foundation graciously agreed to supply him with a prosthetic until he is 18 years old. While juggling all of the stress and financial concerns that come with a cancer trial, JTF has come alongside of us to make sure our son has what he needs most, a chance to be normal.

It is hard to put into words what the Jordan Thomas Foundation has meant to me. After losing my legs in a boating accident, I was confronted with the reality that many children are not provided with access to the prosthetics that they need and deserve to live happy and productive lives. Through unimaginable community support and generosity, we've been able to provide countless children with prosthetics since 2005- a hand to grasp a toy, a leg to help climb steps, etc. In short, this is my life's work and I will continue to advocate on behalf of children with limb loss forever. My name is Samantha Fraser. I am15 and have been a JTF beneficiary since 2009. JTF is an amazing organization that made it possible for us to get the prosthetic legs I have needed for basic growth and sporting activities. I have been able to get a special keg for rock wall climbing and running. I received
Nyla qualified and participated in the junior national track and field meet in Minnesota. I placed 4th in the 100 meter and 3rd in the 4 by 100 relay!! I came in first in the shot put, javelin, and discus!! Without the jordan thomas foundation I would not be able to do all these activities that will hopefully result in a college scholarship!! My father was an amputee due to a childhood accident. He worked his way through college and law school and went on to be a successful attorney during a time before ADA or other support for physically challenged Americans. He didn’t often discuss his medical challenge but I remember a few stories about his being a child with an ill fitting prosthesis due to normal childhood growth patterns and how that limited his life. Happy to support this organization that makes sure other children dealing with childhood accidents or medical challenges do not have to deal with those limitations. I know from my Dad that you simply work to overcome your challenges but happy that some children with have that a tiny bit easier with proper fitting prosthesis and special prosthesis for their favorite activities.
I have had the opportunity to witness the amazing work of JTF through my wife's work with the organization. She shares the photos of the beneficiaries regularly and it is amazing to see what the assistance of the foundation helps the kids achieve! I look forward to seeing how the organization and its current beneficiaries continue to grow.

without Jordan's vision and help from the foundation. We have funded swimming legs, dancing legs, golf legs and running legs for ordinary kids and for para Olympic medal winners.
Being part of this work has brought some sense of reason to an otherwise senseless tragedy. I feel like I am the lucky one.
I was privileged to meet Jordan and his family shortly after his accident upon his return to Chattanooga. I joined the board just after the foundation was created. I have met many amazing people in the amputee community through my work as a prosthetist but never have I met a 16 year old new amputee who envisioned a foundation to provide prostheses for children that might not have a chance to receive one - before he himself was fit with prostheses. From that day on Jordan has focused his efforts on this one goal. Through the JTF he has improved the lives of many children and in the process become a role model for many. It is my great honor to serve on this foundation board.
