Review for Knots of Love, Ashland, WI, USA
My late husband went through years of chemotherapy, radiation and a bone-marrow transplant but succumbed to Hodgkins Disease in 2000. We were both grateful for our having the financial resources to face this long challenge.
When I knit hats I think of those people who might be in different financial situations and who might not be able to pop over to a store and buy something to cover their head. Something that would bring physical warmth.
But in addition to physical warmth the knowledge that somewhere a person they don't even know is thinking of them and wishing them well.
On the evenings I craft these simple beanies I am adding a warm thought along with my stitches. I want the wearer to know that there are others out here in the world who want them to have some small element of relief and that there is a woman in the world who sends them my love in this small way.
I am so grateful to Knots of Love for giving ME this gift. It's an extraordinary experience.
