Review for The Pain Community (a DBA of Women With Pain Coalition), Alamo, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Living with chronic pain & illness is just plain hard. It tries to take over, it steals your energy, and it wants you to be isolated and sad. The Pain Community gives myself and others ways to support each other. The support calls are great, you hear their voices and the emotions in their voices. While social media is a place to meet others in pain, it isn't the same reading typed words as it is when you can talk to them and hear them talking to you.

Sometimes it is the little things that make the biggest impact in our lives. Having someone willing to just sit and talk to you. No expectations, no time limit, just someone listening to you talk about how the chronic pain has affected your whole life. A voice on the other end of the phone line, telling me it was okay to cry, it was okay to be frustrated and sad and angry and so much more. That voice that had absolutely no judgement in it. That voice that cracked a little because she was crying with me and for me. That is what I found at, The Pain Community, and that meant more to me then I could ever explain.

Living with pain is hard and frustrating and sad and so much more. The people at, The Pain Community understand all of this and they take the time to get to know you so they can help you in the best way possible. The support calls that they do every Tuesday are so helpful. Everyone on the call can be part of the conversation and that is huge because many of us are home-bound and do not get to meet new people or make new friends. The support calls allow both of those things and it is good to know that I am not alone. Thank you to all at The Pain Community.
