My first year of veterinary school was a lot less stressful thanks to Patient Advocate Foundation. This past year I moved to a new state, got through a very heavy curriculum, and managed my chronic illness, all while being away from family and friends. My career choice requires me to incur in a lot of debt, and my schedule makes it impossible for me to work throughout my schooling. To top it all off, I have to budget for additional expenses for treatments and medications. I am extremely grateful to Patient Advocate Foundation because I was able to cover the cost associated with living with my chronic illness, which gave me the time and peace of mind to focus on my education. They have been wonderful throughout the whole process, and I cannot thank them enough!
