Review for Palomacy Pigeon & Dove Adoptions, San Francisco, CA, USA
I've had pet birds since I was nine years old and I've always been interested in pigeons. My mom always thought they were disease ridden and rebuked their existence, I of course was in love with the idea of pigeons mating for life and always wanted to see a rea-life baby squab. Years later now I'm 14 and I was feeding my favorite feral flock of colorful pigeons and I see this skinny looking, scared, shy, broken little fledgling. I had chased her around for awhile until I cornered her and picked her up. She immediately calmed down and we've been together for about a week now and she's getting better but she'll most likely never fly again, I named her Cupid and she has changed my life for the absolute best!
Elizabeth is so very knowledgeable about the care of these sweet birds and has been amazing at answering all my tedious questions, she's comforted me when I mourned the loss of three white King pigeons released at my aunt's funeral, I literally went home and felt like a jerk for not getting more help but she assured me that there will be more to come and that I must get used to the fact that this world is awful for these birds
All in all I'm so happy that Elizabeth has changed my life and has made me a better person in general. And I don't live in California but I'm coming to palomacy someday to meet the queen of doves her self!
